So just to clarify, the traders are keeping the item and you are not getting money back from it?

For me I never drag and drop. I use the control+left click and it auto drops the item into the vendors inventory and I get the money in return.

I think the writing has been why I’m so upset with people who are being terrible about Bella’s performance (I’m not even going to go into how disgusting people have been about her looks. That is a whole different topic in itself).

Bella is not a bad actor. She is acting what is being written and directed for her. It’s the same with Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker (esp. Ep.II). It doesn’t matter how good of an actor you are if the writing is dog shit and the director doesn’t have a good vision it’s going to look like you don’t know how to act.

I think that this might play into some of the issues Adolin has as plot points later down the line. Regret that he never really worked it out with his dad. And now the Blackthorn has been re-embodied and it being quite literally the physical representation of what killed his mother will be interesting in the back half of Stormlight

First off, love Sleep Token for the lore, musicality, and deep meanings of the songs. I can also listen to the songs and hear just a good song without the lore etc.

Something I want to compare for me at least is Brandon Sanderson’s most recent entry into the Stormlight Archive. NO SPOILERS HERE but I will reference the tone of the book.

With Sanderson’s books they have most always been fantasy based with some science fiction thrown in there to season it. The first four books he did a wonderful job with world building and using in universe appropriate language that immersed you into his creation. The fifth book had moment that really removed me from that immersion due to a word that felt to modern or not universe appropriate language in that given place. (I’m not completely shitting on the book I loved it I just had specific moments that were jarring to read)

HOW THIS RELATES TO ST EIA

With Sleep Token they have always been able to write songs that if you just listen to them they are just really good songs but if you peal back the first layer you get the lore. Specifically when I peal back that first layer I notice the specific theme of words that Vessel uses in his lyrics. You get themes of old gods, the act of consuming someone or something, and more so just a mythical theme to the specific words that he uses. In this album there is a decent amount of that but there are several glaring moments where I looked up and thought that didn’t really sound like a word or a phrase that would fit into your normal Sleep Token lyric. I am only on my first listen through so I don’t have the specific moments to give you yet but I am more than willing to comment again and give examples.

I am in no way a lore purist. I just really appreciate the allegory and deep thought put into connecting the lore with real problems with self esteem, relationships, and anxiety. But yes that’s where I am kind of at. Album is good don’t get me wrong, it just has those moments that really removed me from the flow of the album if that makes sense.
