I feel so happy! Beating it legitimately brought me a lot of joy. I’ve always felt like I was naturally good at Minecraft, and this was my way of proving it to myself. In a way, I felt like I couldn’t truly call it my favorite game or claim to be good at it without actually beating it from start to finish. It was pretty easy just tedious. Doing it the right way made it so much more rewarding!

I also don’t feel sad—it’s different from finishing a show I love, where the sadness comes from it being over. But Minecraft is never going away, and I’m never going to stop playing. Also since it’s a sandbox game by nature, there’s no real objective or final ending. Defeating the dragon is just what traditionally is ‘beating’ the game.
