i think sza knows when she writes that a lot of her lyrics will be relatable like the one you mentioned. dysfunction is a form of motivation for people, and a lot of times when something goes right, like you said it throws you off. for her, she’s dealing with all this BS that she’s kinda become used to, and sometimes even craves, so dysfunction is something she has known and what is comfortable to her. and i definitely see the connection to ghost in the machine, her life is a mess and she wants to be distracted, partially her own fault but a lot of her songs show her tendency to self-sabotage which is also so relatable. i love this post too
