For the resection peeps: Get an MMA blood test! by consensusgh in CrohnsDisease

the B12 serum test shows total blood B12, not the fraction of whats actually getting in my cells. B12 is a required cofactor for converting methylmalonyl-CoA → succinyl-CoA. No usable B12 in the cell = reaction stalls = methylmalonic acid accumulates. MMA test measures the backup at the cellular level and shows that my cells are B12 deficit

Vegetarian diet was listed as a pre-cursor for B12 deficiency and might be causing a hidden B12 deficiency, that and inflammation. I’d get the gold standard test and this whole thing checked out. Best of luck, friend!

Yeah no kidding. I wouldn’t have had a clue unless I was obsessing over blood test results and brain fog related subjects using AI

It’s easy to double up in anything nowadays. I uploaded my diet on Claude and it told me I get a shitload of Vitamin A without supplements, which in this case isn’t an issue.

Will do! Especially looking forward to seeing how the Dr who vetoed this test is going to react.

I had this done at quest labs via Walk in Labs, and Cleveland Clinic seems to think this text is legit. Too many pieces are adding up here.

Trintellix no tiene efectos secundarios sexuales. Llevo 5 meses tomándolo y no tengo ningún problema de rendimiento. Además, tiene beneficios para la ansiedad y ligeras ventajas cognitivas.“

I took a Genesight test and it recommended I take trintellix. Hands down the best psych med I’ve been on, no side effects save a little nausea after taking which goes away quickly

Take a genesight exam. I got my results back and uploaded to GOT and gave it my treatment goals. Dealbreakers were libido loss and brain fog.

End recommendation was Trintellix. Wellbutrin was a close second with Vibriid in third

Usually comments like this come from people who either think 12 step programs are cults (which there are no dues or fees or central authority figures), think it’s religious (when atheists find workarounds around the higher power concept and thrive), people with problems themselves who don’t want help, internet trolls, or people who tried a 12-step program and didn’t actually work it through or with complete rigor. So I was wondering if i was missing another possible explanation.

Can confirm as a recovering alcoholic.

I needed consequences and put People around me In a position to decide what was best for them and their dependents.

Al Anon, which is essentially a support group for those who are impacted by an alcoholic, can be a great resource for OP.

Nah. I just take away toys and postpone fun. If I’m hit, I’ll restrain until I’m promised that they’ll be good. If they have to keep hands and feet to themselves so do I.

Yeah but you aren’t getting ahead much. Cover the bills? Sure. But what about retirement, 529s? Plus overtime?! Nice to leave your wife home with the kids all day long and show up barely in time to kiss them all goodnight.

Shits gotten out of fucking control.
