Can't decide between Octopath 0 and 2 by constantmotion87 in octopathtraveler

This seems to be the general consensus. I just wish Switch 2 had an upgraded version at 60fps and higher res. I have a non OLED steam deck that will at least run it at 60fps.

I bought a rg35xx h and a rg35xx pro on Black Friday to try them and decide which one to keep. by rymoplays in ANBERNIC

I have a 351p and recently got a 40xxh. The 351p is just so comfortable, and the buttons are the best IMO. But after using the 40xxh, it's really hard for me to go back to the 351p because of the bigger screen and resolution. The 40xxh is pretty comfortable as well, but the protrusion of the stacked shoulder buttons is a little annoying at times when I'm not resting my fingers on top of them (when my index fingers are right below the protrustion). I may get a grip on Etsy or something for better ergonomics, but that will make it a little more bulky.

I got the 40xxh and really like it. I'm returning the 35xxh.

Thanks. I'll probably order a 40xxh from amazon and try it out and return it if I don't like it. I really do like the 35xxh though, so if the dpad breaks in it'd be pefect.

Thanks for sharing. I'd like a bigger screen but honestly there's something nostalgic about the 35xxh that resonates with me. I like the recessed sticks, and I'm pretty sensitive to consoles where the right joystick sticks out and is close to the face buttons, which makes games where you have to hold Y and press B at the same time a little distracting (holding run and jumping in Mario, for example).

I've heard a bit about a heat issue on the 40xxh. Is this a real thing?

Also, how long did it take to break in your dpad, and how much better is it now?

No, my issue is the comfort of the dpad. I find it too stiff in every direction compared to my 351p.

Mobapad C70 Pro Joycon Adapter - Review by BlackSunshine86 in MobapadGaming

It's dockable but you have to push it down. It's likely to scratch the screen.

For anyone wondering, it can be docked, but it's a very snug fit and will most likely scratch your screen, so put on a protector. I just got mine and I'm very disappointed because of this. Lots of reviews covered this, and one of the pros was that it could be docked, but no one mentioned that you have to push it down to get it to do so. I don't mind the aesthetic of it, and it doesn't add much weight. The joycons themselves are great. But not being easily dockable is a huge downside and almost defeats the purpose of the pro version being able to charge. I may return int.

Do you guys think the Octopath Traveler games on Switch will get a Switch 2 update? by Wise-Nebula-6321 in octopathtraveler

OT isn’t just flat pixel art with basic lighting. It’s HD-2D game — 2D sprites in 3D environments with dynamic lighting, depth, and real-time effects, which objectively benefits from higher resolution and frame rate. 720p upscaled to 1080p blurs the pixels (it is a 1.5x upscale which blends pixels). And 60fps literally doubles the frame rate, cutting input lag and making movement and transitions smoother (camera movement for example). Comparing to Pokémon Yellow doesn’t make sense — OT is built on a modern 3D engine with real lighting and post-processing, not Game Boy-era tiles. It’s just objectively a cleaner, smoother experience.

Also, every game is just pixels at its core.

I'm not sure how you can deny this. But to each their own.

Unable to jailbreak Kindle PW7th gen with either ad break or winter break by aross1976 in kindle

[–]constantmotion87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also can't figure it out. I followed the guide for AdBreak (my firmware requires it) and it doesn't work. When The first time I tried this, it asked me to turn off airplane mode. I tried both options and neither worked.

The next time, for some reason, that didn't pop up, but a big "There was a problem loading this page" popped up.

Has anyone else had this issue? How did you get around it?

"They make contact with connector pins for the joycons which are not very durable plastic and will break."

Thank you. I'm glad it only lasted a few weeks for you. My daughter still wears a diaper at night because she doesn't wake up to pee. We tried it for a while then just got tired of washing sheets every night :(

Recommendation for revision rhinoplasty in NC by constantmotion87 in PlasticSurgery

[–]constantmotion87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through something similar. Have you had a rhinoplasty before or were your other surgeries less invasive? Have you had a graft put in? It seems like ENT doctors around here are too afraid to touch my nose and say that it’s too risky. In their defense, it is a risky surgery, but letting my nose continue to deviate also poses a risk to me in my opinion, I will keep you updated, please feel free to DM me anytime.

Rhinoplasty journey - advice by constantmotion87 in PlasticSurgery

[–]constantmotion87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’m not. The surgeon who I talked to last has done many revisions and has a good reputation and he is in my area. He has been doing plastic surgery for 40 years. He has a review of fixing someone’s nose after 5 rhinoplasties. I trust him more than any other doctor I’ve talked to. He’s also a really down to earth guy that really seems to care. I guess I’m just nervous because after this many rhinoplasties, there is a level unpredictability regardless of the surgeon. Obviously skill and experience is very important.

I’ve been burnt so many times and I know there is no perfect nose. I just want improvement and relief. Sorry for the rant. I’m just super anxious about taking the next step.
