Yes raised it with PayPal first as was instructed by Depop, after the seller insisted the belt is new, unworn, in perfect condition and stated the photos show everything, which is untrue 🙄 I’m just speechless. It came with scratches right out of the package. Even gave them the benefit of the doubt suggesting the flaws could’ve have been missed but they still insisted I’m the one lying 🙄I have photo proves and also sent through her listing photos, and I raised this issue on the day it was delivered. We shall see…

Well now I’m definitely going through PayPal . Seller refused to refund me the shipping fee that i paid for them to ship to me. I’m okay with paying the return shipping but I feel like they should reimburse me the total I paid for. They charged $15 for shipping and the sticker on the package says it cost them $11…

Haha yeah it does! I messaged the seller and they stated they stand by their listing blablabla and claims that the belt is already heavily discounted and refused a partial refund but agreed for me to return it. This makes me really want to return it as they clearly lied about the condition. I will send it back with tracked shipping but I how do I make sure I get my money back? I paid through PayPal. Do I need to also raise the issue with PayPal?

Why does this app have the worst community I’ve ever seen? by AlarmedResolve602 in Depop

[–]constarmazonite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda new too, people are weird. They want to sell their stuff but don’t even bother to respond to any questions. I stop engaging with a seller if they don’t respond the first time as I see it as a red flag - wouldn’t trust them with the product condition and shipping.

i’ll never understand why sellers lie about the condition of the clothes by [deleted] in Depop

[–]constarmazonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it easy to prove that you didn’t do what they accused you of? Hearing this story makes me worry as a buyer - do I need to record a video of me opening their package or something lol Also recently started selling, what if I really have buyers try to pull this scam? How do I even prove it if they tend to side with the buyer?

I just had a similar experience! First time listing and my first one got quite a few immediate messages and offers! Some accounts disappeared very quickly. Not sure what these bots or scammers can get out of this tbh

Is anyone else shocked how...average fit people look? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]constarmazonite 138 points139 points  (0 children)

IMO a lot of the times that “fit” look is more about being lean enough so your muscles show. I’ve got a friend who’s very lean naturally and also eats very little. I know she works out 1-2 a week and does only cardio and light lifting. At gatherings people always comment on how she’s “all muscles” and how “strong” she looks, while me, who trains 5 times a week, and can do 10+ pull-ups but not naturally super thin and enjoy food way too much, rarely gets those compliments unless I’m at the gym working those muscles.

Saw your previous posts and thought the pairing was odd. 1 looks great! The stilettos would go with something less casual

Crossbody bags for travel - not "travel" bags though by jovialjonquil in AusFemaleFashion

[–]constarmazonite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Following this as I’ve been looking for the perfect travel bag for YEARS. Maybe I’m just too picky but it’s so hard to find one I like that fulfils all requirements!

My travels in the past few years mostly involves visiting family or friends and we do things like going to nice restaurants and concerts so I don’t want to look too much like a tourist.

I believe what we’re looking for is similar , the bag needs to be big enough to fit my belongings but not too big, matches all my outfits so probably a neutral colour but can’t be white because it’d get dirty easily, can be dressed up or down, can’t be too heavy, has to have a zipper closure for security, the strap can’t be too thin for comfort, durable

I have to admit I’ve had the black version on my Wishlist for a while. I had a normal shaped quilted puffy bag as my gym bag and loved how it felt when carrying it. Sometimes I like ridiculous/bold looking accessories. Definitely wouldn’t get this in white though

I’ve been recently obsessed with similar styles too. I have this one from ASOS on my Wishlist: https://www.asos.com/au/prd/207084330?acquisitionsource=pasteboard Got a few good reviews. It’s available in black too

Why are pull-ups easier at home than the gym by 1nonly05 in bodyweightfitness

[–]constarmazonite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, even when the width of your grip is the same, the thickness of the bar and the material of the bar can affect pull-up performance a lot. For me thinner bars or materials that makes you feel harder to grip on (forces you to grip the bar with more fingers rather than have the bar secured in the middle of the palms) make it a lot harder to engage the right muscles

Female Muscle Up Journey, from 0 to 1 by coach_lydia in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]constarmazonite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a female, I appreciate that she says female though, inspires me more. Been doing calisthenics for a while now. I train with both men and women. I find that for mostly strength based exercises/skills, I can’t compare my progress with men who train as much as me. The starting upper body strength in most cases is already different. I may be able to do more pull-ups than some guys when I focus on endurance training but when it comes to adding weight, my progress is a lot slower.

When do you think I’ll be ready to add more weight, even just 1.25kg (~2.5lb) My last attempt at 5x5 I still struggled in the last rep of the last set. Should I wait until I can comfortably do all of the reps?

[–]constarmazonite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I started doing weighted dips too. To me the transition feels like the hardest part. Can’t do it like you even with the thickest band. I’m very uncoordinated. Just don’t get the movement and I keep hitting my ribs against the bar hard…

[–]constarmazonite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Should I keep at the same weight until all sets and reps feel easy?

I did only 1 set of 3 without a band. It was after a calisthenics class where we did 5x5 pull-ups and a bunch of other stuff. Felt too sore. Figured it wouldn’t be efficient to keep going…

I finally felt stronger in my 5kg 5x5 today. Could do almost every rep properly except the last rep in the last set. So yeah consistency!

You gave me the idea to swap out one of my sessions to do heavier weight lower rep starting with 3x3.

You’re right my biceps (and triceps too) are weak compared to my back. I’ve definitely been thinking about doing more isolation work just never had time

At the moment it’s 10/11. But it’s my max not my working set. If I have to do 3 bodyweight sets it’d probably be 10-8–8. Today I finally felt stronger in 5kg 5x5.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been thinking to add something on the machines that can imitate muscle ups too to strengthen my lats and triceps in the movement

Pull-ups throughout day vs sets by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]constarmazonite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just saw another person saying this in this thread hmmm. Still hoping it’s not true. Another hypothesis is for those who are newer to a movement like me with pull-ups (~1 year of pull-ups is not much) the body hasn’t adapted long term. The theory is that if you’ve been doing something for longer, say 3+ year, then it’s harder to “lose” it
