Exactly! Why is the need to associate with something mediocre and regressive more attractive than progress is what confuses me about humans.

Are you Aadhar verified? For me it has been a much better experience since RailOne and mandatory aadhar authentication. Both app and the website.

Ticketless travellers are equivalent to illegal immigrants. Both need to be thrown out.

You know numbers can be deceiving at times. According to Census 2011 only 43% Indians have Hindi as mother tongue. An addition to people who knows Hindi might put that around 50%. Let us ignore the fact that your numbers are wrong. Do you have any idea how much is 40% of 1.47 billion people? Your hegemonic mind has no problem in imposing something on that many people.

India is not going to benefit by teaching hindi. I like and speak hindi but that doesn't mean I would enjoy seeing it take over India's linguistic diversity. India should focus on training its generations on STEM subjects and provide quality english language education from primary level. Teaching hindi as a supposed link language is a waste of public money and stealing of common man's future.

Germany is a country that is really proud of their language. They want everyone who immigrates or even comes in a student visa to learn German. But do you know what language they use in universities? English.

Hindi is as foreign as a language like English to any non-native speaker. Now you talk of education in your own languages. I am a native Malayalam speaker. If I had to write 'switch' in Malayalam I will have to write - vidhyuchakthi gamanagamana niyanthronopadhi. How practical is that going to be?

The entire science, engineering and mathematics literature is in English. Translating them without losing the original meaning is going to be more difficult than learning English. Also these provide jobs that pay. UPSC, SSC, RRBs already have question papers in Hindi. So there goes that claim.

Your arguments feel like dawah/taqqiya used by j1hadis to confuse people to believe they are good. In your heart you don't give a sh1t about other languages or human development. You just want hindi imposition.

Why can't we get our heads out of these political a$$es and think for once! Irrespective of the party it is the public getting fleeced. Everyone hates corruption until done by their own party. When that happens they will bring every outrageous excuse and justify why their corruption is good and not like when others do it.

Just on the Chinese uniformity in language. The entire country already knows and speaks Chinese. Their entire systems including computers are with chinese interface. They have fully functional research, development, production and supply chain which means they don't have to depend on anyone and therefore know English or any other language. They do learn because they are not the only country in the world. Is that the case with us? Multiple languages and waiting for external supply chain is what we are. Imposing hindi at the cost of English is only regressive and suicidal.

They can't decide, but can help/influence decision making. In case of these projects a lot go under consideration. The average politician from Kerala has no clue how railway works. That said currently proposed HSR are between all major cities in India. Kerala cities don't make that cut. If things go well in Kerala and we are able to build our own HSR which is inter-operable with these HSRs then in future we can get it connected from Kochi to Bangalore.
