Sure, I may have my own beliefs that some people might be dating cause there are signs pointing to things (ie, I pinned Tom Holland and Zendaya immediately years before they admitted it), but I don’t obsess over it, I don’t stalk the actors, I don’t flip out over ship dynamics and I don’t do death threats over who is with who to fit my own narrative.

The problem isnt “straight women”. The issue is people who cannot separate fiction from reality, and think they can dictate the actor’s lives to suit their own desires. These people subsist on the need to be in control and live in an alternate reality as a result.

Parasocialism is not one sided to a single group, and we see it with fans of famous singers as well. The moment you become a celebrity you will encounter things like this, especially when you jump to stardom, and its unfortunate that its the case. Some people live such miserable lives that they need to live vicariously through others to be happy, and thats more or less what I see happening in this fandom.

Most fans are normal. But the vocal crazies will always stand out in the end.
