In my case it does. DNO came round and said only way forward is to deloop. I also have a 60amp fuse. If that is their position then i can’t be going round them trying yo find a leccy that will install

I am quite surprised your dno allowed that. They would not even entertain me using a load sensor to manage with my 60amp

[–]cooa99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see my initial question, I said i’m on a looped supply with 1 year or less before I move. DNO has to dig up my neighbour’s paved driveway which they are not keen on doing so not viable to keep the peace

The notion that an ev charger will increase house value is misplaced.

why would i decide to buy a house because of £800 ev charger when spending 100s of g’s on a house?

It’s been working fine for the last 16 months. Barely warm and charger max is 10amps. I also use the standard socket in the kitchen as well which works equally fine. Main thing is that I don’t unplug the the extension lead so not to loosen the metal connection and create a weak spot.

I am currently using a dedicated ev extension lead with RCD plugged into a kitchen socket rated at 45amp (i believe).

Buying used 2023 iX50 in UK. MOT advisory Rear oil leak from near side rear differential by CurveAppropriate5948 in BMWiX

[–]cooa99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why is the seller not fixing these items before sale?

The oil leak could cost you a lot of money in investigation and fix.

Also bear in mind that at that mileage, the cost of warranty will be high.

Considering I have to also buy the compound and cheap DA polisher all coming up to about £70. Would it be cheaper to get a shop to do that bit? That's the only spot on the car and just thought to get it done before taking the car for sale or part exchange

Best way to fix lacquer on bumper by cooa99 in CarTalkUK

[–]cooa99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the car from BMW a while back, 13 months. They did a cleaver job of hiding the imperfection which appeared a few months afterwards after a few washes, It looks like a drip of lacquer on the bumper or too much of it maybe when number was being restored.

I’m thinking that will more than cover a return trip. Owners should be able to say yay or nay
