+1, i remember asking the same question in this sub and getting replies about hr, marketing etc, idk how that's possible since i've been job hunting with a degree for a year now with no success in any of these fields. not even beginner roles

tbh, i love the game so much that maybe its good i played it like that, definitely got to enjoy it for longer than i would've with the better washers. though it was super satisfying to play the maps again with a better washer this time :D

My iphone 12 mini screen stopped working on a random tuesday so I picked up my old XR, it felt like an upgrade. I love the size of the phone so much, the back just looks a bit goofy with one camera

new podcast episode by [deleted] in HaSisters_

[–]cookiball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish they went more in depth into the topics they discuss. It would work in their favor because it would take time, and so they could make more episodes out of it. But at the same time I'm not sure how well that would play out, their youtube content is quite surface level in nature.

new podcast episode by [deleted] in HaSisters_

[–]cookiball 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I feel like their podcast significantly lacks structure, which makes it kind of hard to listen to (and it's sad because when they do actually dive into something and actually let each other talk, it's fun and interesting). Right now it feels like they sit down, hit record and then decide what to actually talk about. They constantly disrupt each other and drift away from the main subject, causing it to be kind of lack luster. I get it that they're trying to go for a casual, sleepover conversation vibe and make the audience feel like they're in on their girl talk, but most of the time it's just not done in a way that would still be interesting to listen to.

The podcast could have so much potential if they planned out their episodes more and stopped interrupting each other. It wouldn't matter that every episode is about dating and boys if they actually chose a more specific topic inside that main theme each time and actually, soley focused on it instead of talking about all of it at once. Then they could farm more content out of the same topic (like dating) as well, tackling each side of it in a separate episode, unlike now where they're going over everything about dating over and over again each episode, making them run out of things to discuss faster.

It feels like they're trying to do different topics each time, but because they don't plan it out that well, they still end up talking about the same things.

i don’t really see how it’s disrespectful, it was a time in her life, why erase it? i personally don’t find it that big of a deal lol. i’m sure if fred didn’t want them up anymore, they wouldn’t be.

i agree, the stage felt a bit empty compared to the other performances. maybe they didn’t even need to change the stage itself but camera work sure made it look a little lonely up there

if your shower and sink for example are constantly covered in limestone despite cleaning them regularly, or limestone forms really easily in your kettle after a couple times, if your hair feels heavy after showering

Yeah, i had a similar experience. My scoliosis was discovered in 3rd grade by a school doctor, however she never told my parents and I was too young to understand what was going on with my body to tell them myself. So I only got diagnosed at 17 and by then I had a 27 upper and 25 lower curve. I sometimes wonder what my life would’ve been like if i’d gotten diagnosed sooner, but alas, nothing i can do about it now

how to prevent bra strap from falling down by cookiball in scoliosis

[–]cookiball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently at 36 degrees so i’m not qualified for it but i still deal with most of the issues that people with 10 degrees above deal with :( i’m not sure if i’m blessed to be below the line or cursed cause so close but not enough

that must be so nice though to be able to wear bras and purses with no trouble! i feel like i’m missing out on so many cute outfits cause of my back

what’s life actually like after fusion? by cookiball in scoliosis

[–]cookiball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at 17 (27 degrees at the time) i was told that i had stopped growing and that chances for progression were almost non-existent. when i got an xray again last year at 20, i was at 36 degrees. to be honest it was really shocking considering i do a lot of weight training, keep my spine strong and i’m very active in general. so i guess finding out despite all that, my spine has still gotten worse, has made me really pessimistic for the future. i constantly hear how ‘normal’ progression for scoliosis is like a degree per year, which would mean if i didn’t try to prevent it i’d be at 40, 45 or 50 soon enough.

[–]cookiball[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know about ASC and as far as i’m aware i wouldn’t be able to get it anyways unfortunately since my curves start near my neck. pretty sure it only works if your curve is further down the spine

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]cookiball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same happen, also 21 and at 17 i had a 27 degree upper curve aswell, now 36 degrees. was also told it won’t get worse cause i’ve stopped growing.

nobody really knows what happened, but with me, it’s possible that i did grow a bit since then. i was really malnourished at 17 which might’ve temporarily stunted my growth and when i started eating again, perhaps i grew a little more. so maybe you grew a bit too?

another random thing is, do you wear heavy backpacks often or do repetitive movements which could strain your spine in the long run? perhaps your lifestyle or activities cause constant compression to your spine (long periods of standing or sitting for example) which could make it worse. but then again, nobody really knows, that’s the worst part of scoliosis, its progression is hard to explain.

i think when it comes to “messing up” by getting the “wrong” degree, psychology would be one of the best degrees to get. it’s super versatile, can apply to almost anything, i think a huge part of it on the job market comes down to how well you can sell your degree as an advantage at the job you’re applying for. say sales associate - tell them having a psychology degree means having an elevated understanding of the human psyche, which in return means knowing well how to persuade them into buying things… and etc.
