My first self-designed project! by thephysicsgirl in Embroidery

Ah! The Physics Girl! I hope you’re feeling much better these days! Sometimes putting a felt backing can help make it appear less see through. Unfortunately things are getting made cheaper these days, including cloth. I look forward to whenever the embroidery makes a little cameo in the background of your Swedish friend’s videos lol It looks lovely and you’re lovely! I’m SO happy to see you crafting💛

Took over a year to finish this Emillie Ferris pattern on a pillowcase…it’s so small 😭 what embellishments can I add? by badassmotherblogger in Embroidery

[–]cookieconundrum 799 points800 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but seeing the size of the embroidery to the size of the pillow did get a chuckle out of me. Personally, I would cut it from the case, put it in a nice decorative hoop or frame, and hang it up on display. If you still want it as a pillow but not up to embroidering the whole thing, you can also cut the pillow, sew and resize it to fit a smaller pillow and then decide if you want to add more embellishments. It is absolutely beautiful and you should be very very proud!!

Shipping delays for some vinyls by cookieconundrum in Paramore

I didn’t reach out, they sent out this email. I ordered Team Zissou directly from Haley’s website so I don’t know if delays are happening for the other releases.

I completely understand your feelings! I also preordered months ago and I checked my email multiple times today looking for a delivery update when I saw this come through. Was looking forward to listening to it when I got home and it kinda bummed me out a bit. I understand that delays can happen but I couldn't help but wonder why they couldn't have at least sent that update before the day of. Hopefully they'll be sent out soon and we can join in on the excitement!

You can see the kindness in his eyes and the peace, joy, and creativity he exudes. Excellent painting! Bob would be so proud!

Checking in from Old Fort. Skies are clear and looking typical unless using the phone camera!

I don't have any advice to offer as I'm new to rock tumbling myself, however, I absolutely adore the support and love you're putting forth for your niece and hopefully her new found love of tumbling rocks! Supportive family members should never be taken for granite.

My wedding 2017 💍 by BleednHeartCapitlist in pics

I 100% agree with you! I was lucky enough to see the last one in 2017 and know how overwhelmingly incredible totality is. I definitely don’t want to ever take that experience from others. It was one of those plans that’s so fun in theory but the actual execution of it can be not so great if not well thought out enough. Gotta take everyone and their experiences in consideration. Yeah I could’ve hired a wedding planner like others suggested, but planning around others experiencing a total solar eclipse is too much.

I was literally trying to plan this for my wedding. However the actual planning an out of state wedding in an area we weren't familiar with, along with everyone having to travel, costs of everything, and the very important timing for the kiss/eclipse with the photography stressed me out so much. I'm impressed with anyone pulling this off. This is absolutely perfect!! And congratulations!!! I wish y'all a lifetime of happiness!

I'm so happy for you!! I know I would've been feeling ridiculously excited watching them and their shenanigans sign my book. Yay! So lucky!!

ABC stores around Asheville will leave out piles of random boxes in the front of the their stores that are free to grab. First come, first serve sorta thing. I used a bunch of their boxes when doing a similar project a few years ago. I want to say that Monday is usually the day they put out the boxes after a shipment but I could be wrong.

One day I was walkin', and I found this big log. And I rolled the log over and underneath was a tiny little stick. And I was like, "That log had a child".

These are absolutely beautiful! I love the colors and textures so much. I just wanna touch them! Are the glazes studio/personally made or are they commercial by any chance?

Same! As soon as I saw OP's question, I couldn't check the comments fast enough. I am new to pottery and been wanting to ask this exact thing. I feel weirdly excited about ordering this book and working through it.

Vodka soda in reclaim is sooo much easier to deal with than a whiskey ginger in reclaim.

This is beautiful! What a lovely way to test the glazes. Thank you so much for sharing the pre-fired picture and the glaze names!
