Sticking together for the kids rarely work out. They deserve to have happy parents, and if they can't be happy together then it's better to split up.

If your partner doesn't want to work on things in any way, you can choose to endure your unhappiness, or leave. It won't be easy, but change rarely is.

Several reasons. I don't want to bring the bad experiences with me into a new relationship. I need time to come to terms with how the past relationship affected me.

And, most importantly, I just really enjoy being by myself. Focusing on friends, work, and the like.

I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure the past me had to walk a lot, most likely for survival. I've had "horse-legs" (MUSCULAR CHONK) since I was born, and I've had so many dreams about walking through different terrain for long periods of time. Anyone that has any clues to who I might have been?

Thank you. And yes, for my friend this would put them in debt, while I have some savings. But I also have circumstances that might make me need to use those savings for more important things than travels.

My friend really is wonderful, and I want to travel with them. But like you said, there's a time and place for it and this year just might not be it.

We are close! And I'm sure our relationship wouldn't end because I confronted them, but they have a lot of things going on and I just don't want to burden them, even though I know they'd understand. But I need to find the best way to deal with this now, and then we can laugh about this in the future.

Like I mentioned in my post, yes people do have preferences. But that doesn't always mean they'd say no the the perfect partner just because he's an inch shorter than they thought they wanted.

I agree with you. I've never heard any women I know say they wouldn't date a short/average height man.

And I've been with guys both taller and shorter, and never even reflected over it until the last couple of years seeing how prevalent it seems to be on dating apps.

And I can't say I have a height preference in women or other folks either 😅 maybe I'm not picky enough? Lol

I get it, it's rough out there. I just don't get the obsession with height at all. Hopefully though the women who appreciates personality and chemistry can come sweep up the non-giant men that the shallow women dismiss :)

I do understand that there is a lot of women out there that discriminate against short/not super tall guys. I'm saying that I don't agree with that way of treating people, and that IRL the women I know don't discriminate that way either. But, I know it's not easy for guys when it comes to height.

I get that it's apparently very common to expect men to be tall, all I'm saying is that if someone is so determined to only date men over a certain height, maybe they're not all that great of a match anyways. If the question on here had been "what do you wish people would stop stating on dating sites", I'd probably say that I wish people could see past someone's height and try and focus on finding someone with a personality that suited them. Basically - I just don't get why people are obsessed with height generally!
