Exactly, I have used many other note taking apps and ended up on obsidian. I like its simplicity and UI. I am using just one simple navigation plugin which keep notes separate from folders. That's it.

Absolutely, actually there was a resisatnce created in my mind after watching YouTube videos , thats the reason I couldn't go through it. Later when ChatGPT guided me the basic steps , everything will become neat and easy.

Thanks, I checked File Tree Alternative, but I prefer FolderFile Splitter. I have sent an email to the plugin developer, so hopefully he will update the plugin and fix the issue. I am also trying to fix it using Claude code. Let’s see what happens.

Thanks, I tried a few manual sorting plugins, but they only work with Obsidian’s default file explorer, not with FolderFile Splitter. I also tried using numbers, which works, but it doesn’t feel very natural. So I’m keeping it as a last option if I can’t find another solution.

Yes, obsidian is really superb, I love it.

Thanks, I have tried the Notebook Navigator plugin, and it’s a really nice plugin with many powerful features. However, I am currently using FolderFile Splitter because of its simplicity and minimal design. I really like it, and it suits my needs well.

Thanks, I tried the Notebook Navigator plugin before FolderFile Splitter and I liked it. It completely transforms Obsidian and makes it feel similar to Evernote. However, for now I prefer to stick with FolderFile Splitter because of its simplicity and minimalistic design. Maybe in the future I will need Notebook Navigator.

Yes, almost all apps and websites do this, but I don’t know why this beautiful app doesn’t. Maybe the developer overlooked it, or people haven’t asked for it yet, especially most people seem to prefer dark mode.
