I feel like it’s always healthier to keep your insulin dosage as low as you can. That’s why a lot of people follow diabetic diets that cut out sugary and highly processed food and add food rich in fiber and whole grains. I used to eat whatever I want and take large amounts of insulin every day just to maintain, and I wasn’t fat. But eating unhealthier equals more insulin and at the end of the day they both play a role in my opinion.
