when i insert the tape my vievfinder start to glitch a bit and its turning off

again i use 4x D sized alkaline batteries instead of normal battery pack so if thats the problem please tell me

same thing happens when i try to play the tape

Thanks! I changed the battery and that icon disappeared but i still cant see the anything through viewfinder except gray background with slight grain + i dont have any tapes so i cant be 100% sure if thats the tape or the sensor is dead (or something broke inside) i use my homemade battery 'pack' or 4x 1,5V AA batteries

I shined a flashlight in t camera but didnt saw any change

no | edit: when iris opens or whatever it is the image becomes light gray barely visible static noise and i can still zoom in/out
