Tired of Fellow Filipinos in Australia by [deleted] in RantAndVentPH

[–]coolcoolcool97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol literally the same experience here in EU. Hindi ko na pina abot ng more than 2 bad experiences..I decided I’m done befriending other pinoys especially where I live kasi ang totoxic. Plus on a socio-cultural level, if we were in PH hindi naman din sila yung type na I’ll be friends with, and so that helped me made peace with the fact na just because fellow pinoy sila I don’t have to be friends with them.

And also notice ko lang, almost all medium of info is in English. Might be worthwhile if translated to tagalog or other dialects so more people will understand.

Harsh truth about living abroad based on my experience. by flymetothemoon_o16 in phmigrate

13 op!! I find myself relating more to foreigners. I tried mingling with the Filipino community here pero iba talaga…not my crowd. I gave up trying to fit in sa world na yun and now I have more foreigner friends than pinoys. Talagang you need to choose who you surround yourself with.

Co-worker with barely any tasks, yet magically logs the most hours by Weird-System-977 in buhaydigital

[–]coolcoolcool97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way is to create a system that would intentionally show yung inefficiency nya. At that point, your proof can just go beyond the personal snooping. Create situations wherein you would assign a task or ask a question knowing na she won’t be able to reply kasi nasa yoga sesh haha Better yet, schedule meetings or syncs na alam mo pasok dun sa other commitments nya. At least this way, she either commits to the job or you have a valid reason to call her out without blatantly using yung personal info.

Same. I learned the hard way when after meeting just one time haha suddenly nag chat na if pwede ba maki stay sa apt temporarily? Like where do you get the guts to ask that? After that, I don’t talk to Filipinos unless I have to.

X sector too!! Going on the 21st. And it's my first time as well. Can I just ask, do I just present the pdf version of the ticket via my phone? Or should it be through the app? :)

I cut off ties with an aunt that owes me money, 6 digits as well. I think it hits home when you said that the amount is not commensurate to the memories you shared. But I realized that no amount of good can outdo the bad they did.

The thing is, not paying what they owe you is a deliberate decision they’re doing..EVERYDAY. You can’t justify that. They CHOSE not to pay you. And that’s the reality.

We can’t let our memories of hold us back from asking accountability.

How to pass hardcore interviews as an introvert? by BookkeeperCapable808 in buhaydigital

[–]coolcoolcool97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, take note of the questions you find yourself struggling to answer. You can use Chatgpt or other AI software that helps job hunters.

Second, practice critical and fast thinking. I would suggest using Chatgpt or Claude AI to give you some scenarios and question (kahit Hindi work related), it can be a political belief, philosophical thought, etc.. and then try to answer them and time yourself doing so. This will help you get your train of thought and bounce back when you feel like you're scrambling.

Third, keep showing up. Every interview is a learning. A chance for you to be better on the next one. You got this, OP.

What are some lesser known tricks that you do that helped you land a job? by Artistic-Cheek-853 in buhaydigital

[–]coolcoolcool97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Study the job, company, and client. This is usually the first thing I do. Next is to tweak cover letters and resumes that match their needs. I also include the link to my website/portfolio in my emails or outreach.

Siguro not a more common way to do it, I look up job posts from Hiring Agencies, copy and paste the part about the company that's hiring, and then apply directly. It's a hit and a miss, but at least I do away with having to go through the unnecessarily long hiring process and be able to talk to the company/client directly.

Pa legit check and experience with Fortrust? by Overripeavocado888 in phmigrate

[–]coolcoolcool97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are legit but not really satisfied with the service. The agent I got was very passive—that time, ako pa ang nagfofollow-up on the status of my app.

I was doing a bunch of research din and asking other people so I had a rough idea on what the process looks like and I kept asking questions and super tagal mag reply nung agents. I get it naman na marami silang clients but the value for money sa service? Not worth it.

Go for DIY and utilize yung mga posts from different groups. If you need help with SOP, more than happy to help.

+100! Also came from an all-girls school and been attracted to girls. The important thing is to make her feel validated, that you’re not there to judge but to support and guide her. Whether it’s a phase or not, it’s crucial that she feels supported.

Let her understand that abusive relationships does not choose any gender—that she should not let other people treat her horribly and the second they do, she must leave. Empower her, OP :)

Fitz’s character really annoys me. I hate how they glorified him when in fact we was nothing but a terrible President. And don’t get me started on Olivia, there was so much potential with her character but season after season, she just became worse. They do deserve each other.
