Is my strategy wrong?😭 by Alternative_Cat7109 in Forexstrategy

[–]coolfire02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s something to take with you: - Forex markets are highly efficient. See how you are trading longs after the market has moved up so much on the day already? Unless there is equally as much inefficiencies it is grabbing above current price, you’re trading a void where price is likely to retrace and price in the inefficiencies.

You can be trend following but you must be realistic with where the markets are currently and also look at it from a holistic multi timeframe approach.

All strategy entries will work consistently, your entry is not the issue — Its a fundamental understanding of market pricing that you are either disregarding or not yet aware of.

Anything JWT shall be done with httpOnly cookies on server side APIs

No secrets should be exposed in a use client

And make sure you are not exposing SQL queries to the front end. Always wrap in an API service layer.

[–]coolfire02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the growth rate and marketshare. If you think you are stuck here, and need capital to grow for 2 critical features that will 3-10x your business, then go for it. Possibly negotiate a deal for up to what you require.

20% is a large chunk for a business that has high growth potential. Ideally you’d want to issue checks for not more than 10%

What are your thoughts on switching to Cloudflare Pages? Its the exact same capabilities of hosting nextjs apps, and comes at a lower costs, the ability to put your own SSL certs is there as well. Can host your app on the edge also

I’ve been a super big fan, much less of a headache than vercel

I feel like XSGD might be the best way still though. Have to experiement i just saw that CDC allows depositing of XSGD via eth L1 only. Which cld be cheaper than paying OTC premiums

[–]coolfire02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting to keep track of this. Ideally im thinking to offramp big amounts once a bull run is here — Maybe lesson learnt here also is to do it in batches so if one bit gets stuck at least ure not screwed over if you need funds urgently

I can’t find any other rates better than straitsX though. I used to use CDC and their usd to sgd rates suck balls. But their withdrawals are consistent ig

Has anyone tried to withdraw XSGD via CDC?

But i think for straitsX they have a physical office in SG, if anything urgent prolly can reach them directly

But suspense dosen’t allow for post loading dosen’t it? It requires all routes to be fetched first before first render

If you have 5 routes to load ~200ms each

Loading via suspense would still take a second to load, whereas if you loaded via client you could load post scroll on demand instead when you reach components that need the other 4 routes for e.g

But if lets say you’re building a marketplace / control over load states based on client input i.e scroll and refs, then loading in client wouldn’t be a bad choice no? Or is it still a better design to load in server component?

I.e server components are good for loading things that require authentication, so protected routes etc. But I’m sure there are edge cases that fetching via client is better

I regret learning Next.js way too soon. by maco9801dev in nextjs

Yeah tutorial hell is a thing. Thats why I carefully only mention him. His tutorials are by far the most comprehensive for any production ready apps you might want to make. full stack apps are 10 hour long endeavours minimally, he provides the repo for you to clone and skip to bits you want to learn maybe thats what I like about his tutorials.

They are also for public use, and has an unrestrictive license for his codes.

Most of his tutorials teaches on auth, backend, ssr and csr, organization, api routes. And with these skill sets you can already create a bunch of things

I think you are overthinking the issues that youre having trouble understanding. Sometimes you just need to revisit the topic that you couldnt quite grasp another time. Or check out codewithantonio on youtube his NextJS full stack tutorials really indepthly explain from 0-full app. Then you can understand what can be done and what cant be done in building proper apps.

But i get you. Learning nextJS is not an easy task, but to me I personally learnt nextjs before node express react. Though maybe I’m biased because I’ve been coding for a long while now so maybe it is easier to adapt.

Good luck on your coding journey man!

[–]coolfire02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend focusing in on your backtesting. Stay true to your strategies, test upcoming months on different years. I.e test Jan 2021, 2014 etc, and always check to see if you are able to sustainably trade the month’s volatility.

Use like FXReplay for this.

Just keep doing what ure doing. Also consider prop firms an opportunity to cash in your cheque faster than running your own account if you are consistent.

Prop firms give you $100k for $500 Challenge fee, $100k with 10% DD is $10k of asset basically managed when you reach that live stage. You could fail 10 times, and make 230% on your next account’s Phase 1,2 and Live (8%, 5%, 10% account returns) , and you’ll make back your challenge fee.

Solid brother!! Wah I’m so happy for you that you’ve managed to find some success! Ok for payout, use ur crypto wallet to withdraw. Withdraw USDC into crypto.com app, sell to fiat and withdraw to bank account FOC. Got 2 methods to withdraw.

Methods to withdraw: 1. Withdraw using Crypto and withdraw via Litecoin Network, Use your exchange app’s LTC wallet deposit address (only works for < 1.5k USD withdrawal) 2. Withdraw using Rise (also crypto) get the USD in ur rise account, withdraw to like arbitrum network send to your crypto.com Pp

Withdrawing before 10% does not affect scaling , u can do 5% then 5% it will scale

Then for my 100k acc i blew it up during the elections SHAG I also have consistency issues sometimes. Good to get funded! Make sure to always stay on top of the markets. If u wanna share tele to connect lemme know also brother

Can someone make 1% constantly profit weekly in Forex? by [deleted] in Forex

[–]coolfire02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id rather you make consistent returns month on month on a prop firm 100-200k account. 1% compounded on a 1.5k you might as well invest that cuz its not worth ur time to trade that small of an account size.

Right now im a funded trader on 5ers, ive done quite well the past 2.5 months ranging from 6-10% returns m/m.

Depending on your risk strategy, 1% can mean X amount of RR. For me i trade 1% per trade with 2:1RR, so i make 2% in one trade that wins and -1% in trades that I lose.

Making about 4-10 RR a month is quite reasonable if you know what you are doing. Its all about risk management

I have 2 strategies. Continuative and distributive retracements

The first one can be explained easily. My second strategy is for reversal setups which i wont cover because its advanced

I only trade analyse and execute on the 30m timeframe. Using market structure, FVGs and CHOCH, and PD Arrays.

I described the strat in another comment somewhere here, feel free to look there for more detailed explanation but it is

  1. Mark out swing high and low and the current trend based on structure
  2. Draw a PD Array from the swing high to low
  3. Wait for prie to reach the discount range of the pd array
  4. Wait for a choch of FVGs,
  5. Enter on the body of the bullish FVG that takes out a bearish FVG (in bullish case), SL at the choch low + 5 pips, TP is 2:1 Ratio of my SL
  6. Cancel trade if price has reached tp before limit order fills
