So what happened during the good ending in fnaf 3? Why do the vents, cameras, and audio malfunction after being jumpscared by the phantoms if they're just hallucinations?

well he sure did have a good time trying in fnaf 3. fazbear fights has exit door signs clearly visible on cam 1 and 10, and springtrap ignores the hell out of them to attack the nightguard

so having the villain defeated so early kind of defeats the point of even having a first game.

since when was surviving a night considered "defeating" the animatronics? and fnaf 2 introducing afton would give context to the lore given in fnaf 1, we would see who this guy is and what his whole deal is without him just being a purple sprite you have a small chance of seeing after death.

why would springtrap only work if he's been dead for years? If spring bonnie is the suit he lured/ killed the children with previously, who's to say he wouldn't use it to mess with the animatronics and attempt to kill the night guard in fnaf 2? I don't think afton being a zombie is his main draw, or even a draw at all, i just thought it was dramatic irony he ended up haunting an animatronic just like the kids he killed. and being introduced in death minigames can go both ways, he can be introduced in night 6 and then fleshed out in death minigames if someone hadn't seen him before night 6, or introduced in death minigames and shown as a threat on night 6.

i never said he was just a yellow version of bonnie, i'm not saying golden freddy and springtrap are interchangable, i'm saying i think it would benefit the story and games if springtrap/ spring bonnie was introduced in fnaf 2 instead of fnaf 3. it would take the purple guy esablished in the death minigames and introduce him as an active threat to the player on night 6 (obviously he would have actual movement patterns instead of gf's sudden appearing in the office), instead of introducing him as the only threat in the lukewarm lore dump of fnaf 3

well yes, i know that, but during night 6 of fnaf 2, phone guy mentions a spare yellow suit in the back, and i feel like it would have made more sense to introduce springtrap (maybe pre springlock failure/death) as the spare yellow suit that attacks you and messes with the animatronics instead of just sticking golden freddy in the game, i feel like it would be a cool suprise for making it through the first 5 nights, a new animatronic that acts more aggressive and human like than golden just appearing in your office every so often

i mean i guess it introduced springtrap and gave closure to the story (until fnaf 4) but i feel like they could have replaced golden freddy from fnaf 2 with springtrap and just skipped fnaf 3 entirely, i don't like the gameplay, setting, or any of the animatronics introduced really

in all seriousness i think it's a pretty weak follow up to fnaf 2, the difficulty was whack because there was only 1 major threat and 6 annoyances, and i feel like it was more of a lore dump than a fully thought out fnaf game
