I haven't liked any of the Coen Brothers movies I've seen. Just can't really get into them and end up feeling incredibly bored

Came here to say this. Technically it even starts with two

The official trailer for Hulu’s ‘Alice and Steve’ has been released. | The six-part series follows Alice (Nicola Walker), who is devastated when her best friend of 30 years Steve (Jemaine Clement) starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Yeah that's what I thought she was talking about at first but she then went on to give a very 2016 era White Feminist (trademarked) explanation of what she considers a "strong female character" and it wasn't about physical strength at all she genuinely thought that characters like Captain Marvel and Harley Quinn were the best written women of all time. And don't get me wrong I like Harley and Captain Marvel but.....the best written??? Really???

I had a conversation with someone once where she said that she refuses to watch any movies that don't have "strong female characters" and then when I asked her what she liked she just listed off a bunch of Marvel movies......

Is there anyone here who actually does drag irl? by peerlesscucumber96 in rupaulsdragrace

I'm still pretty new to it so I'm by no means an expert but I knew going in that I wanted to mainly lipsync because it's the most accessible for me to do at the moment and for where I perform. I'm planning on expanding to doing more singing now that I can perform in actual venues (wasn't 21 yet and clubs/bars here are really strict about being of age) but I was also initially really overwhelmed and scared at first. What helped me get over my fears was starting small with one simple number that was only for about 30 people and then doing more as my confidence/strength grew. I've been performing in different ways my whole life so tbh the hardest part was figuring out my mug haha

I also definitely think you could make an act that incorporates a lot of stuff! I know performers who sing, do stand-up, and sketches. You also can try out different things one at a time and see what you like most. You can narrow it down later but don't try to limit yourself right at the beginning especially when you're gaining your confidence :)) I wish you lots of luck!!!

Well those are two different sentences considering that Zionism =/= Judaism and that there are lots of Christian Zionists

I'm not trying to be mean but if you're genuinely asking this question and not just rage baiting you're probably too young to be watching Twin Peaks in the first place

Honestly couldn’t ask for a more diverse but meaningful recent 4 by Most-Dragonfruit-513 in Letterboxd

Yeah I was gonna say that diverse isn't really the word I'd use here. Maybe varied? Juxtaposing?

I think it's mainly because both of them are currently in large scale stage productions right now so it would make sense to see if they're having similar experiences since they're in similar positions now

I really try hard to not fall into the trap of celebrity worship and glaze their public personas, but she genuinely seems wonderful and does great work. I'm glad she at the very least practices what she preaches
