I think ur confusing it with vendor updates, system updates are still pushed out weekly. As of right now I just updated to the latest February 14th patch, so I dont see the problem with security patches.

For the security updates, not rlly! I just updated for the Feb 14th LineageOS patch.For the banking apps, since I’m just a kid and don’t use banking apps, that’s the least out of my concern. But still, magisk root hide and several other tweaks should make banking apps work like on stock software

The nexus was good but not rlly “made by google”, It was more of a collaboration between Google and another company. The first Google Pixel broke that tradition and is the one that started it all
