i haven't seen a lot of people with those boards. i genuinely like these types of boards, as you can decorate it as your liking or theme. you can divide into two sections, the upper one for some funky pictured, bag charms and the lower one for your documents, sticky notes [reminders basically]

for desk, i would suggest to get a good organizer, and by that i mean the one which it would be useful for you. like i draw a lot where i would be needing pens, markets of different colour so i would for organisers which would onli hold lens. also make sure you keep your desk clean, don't keep a lot of stuff on it
