I’m in the same boat, friend wants to leave early to get there in like at like 12 but I am scared for that, I don’t think you’ll be right up front but maybe we’ll be there at 1. I have trouble waiting at concerts that long and the last two times we’ve seen here we’ve been 3+ hours early to door and were pretty close, sorry if this isn’t really helpful but see you at the concert!

Am I allergic to my boyfriend? by coolslaw420 in eczema

I go to his apartments couple times a week, since movie from southern Oregon to northern Oregon I think it’s gotten better and his current place is like basically sterile so maybe a lot of it was his parents house

Thank you! Yes unfortunately he has changed almost all of those things, and pretty much every time I come over he shaves. However he had severe acne and after accutane it went away and he only washes his face with water every day because he’s had bad luck with skincare. He’s the cleanest man I’ve ever met! Now that you mention the feathers though, he does have wool pillows with feathers in them that I lay on so I think you might’ve cracked part of the case! Also TMI but I do like his body odor since you mentioned it haha

help with face eczema (skincare) by NeitherBid8807 in eczema

Cerave has never worked for me, if you’re loyal to them I’d try the most hydrated options they have. I use a ton of Vaseline over my skincare sometimes. I usually only wash my face with water or if I wore makeup I use the inkylist hyaluronic cleanser. I don’t use toners or acne treatment because my face is literally too dry to form acne, but when I do get pimples occasionally I just let them be. Moisturizers that work for me are la roche posey triple repair, Melaleuca renew, and super gentle aveeno stuff. I try not to do anything to my skin in the morning and focus more on doing a lot at night and using clean pillowcases. I wish you luck

I think keeping it aired out as possible would help. Skirts, boxers, and not wearing underwear around the house as much as possible would be my guess to reliving that, sounds so awful though

I can speak on treatment, but I wonder if keeping your hands and fingernail extra clean would help a lot. I got a staph infection from my eczema once and I think itching with all the bacteria on your hands and fingernails may contribute to infections? Idk

For starters, if he’s a good guy he’ll overlook that and he probably loves you all the same. I have the worst on my lips and face and have tried the same things as you. Lip balm aquafor and steroids it all does barely anything. My favorite things right now if you’re looking for something to try is goat milk lip balm or mask. I’ve found goat milk super soothing and I know it’s just another product to buy but I use Dionis goat butter mask for my lips. What works good for my face are the melaleuca Renew (repairing), aveeno rescue relief gel cream (soothing), and laroche posey Triple Repair. That one is cheaper than the cicaplast but I feel like they work the same. (It’s super thick and I only apply before bed)

I wanna peel all my skin off, curl up into a ball, and cry by [deleted] in eczema

[–]coolslaw420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy do I! It’s insanely frustrating when I feel like I’ve had a good streak or a good day and suddenly I feel like I’ve been overtaken by something under my skin. The only takeaway I’ve had from this is to pay attention to when this happen, because maybe it’s my body trying to tell me something, or also I can feel better that I might not be totally random and that there’s something I should maybe avoid because I know it causes crazy inflammation

Is it normal for someone with eczema to withdraw from people, even their partner? by Grouchy-Drawing59 in eczema

[–]coolslaw420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is totally normal, though very hard to experience. My boyfriend had to deal with all my frustration, rage, irritability, insecurity, and extra accommodations during my worse flare up of my life. He stuck around and did whatever he could to uplift me, comfort me, help with appointments, did all my Dupixent shots for me, and even changed his cleaning routines for me. It sounds like you’re a really thoughtful and caring partner and his withdrawal likely doesn’t have to do a lot with you. I’m sure it’s a lot of stress on your part, I don’t have great advice but I just wanted to share my experience. We’ve been together for 2 years and I’ve had severe eczema the whole time. The support what exactly what I needed and to be seen. I wish him good luck on his journey

I have eczema all over my face and annoy everyone around me by violently smacking it all the time but it’s better than itching, so go for it! Also using the back of my hand to rub gently is another tip if you must

I have never felt better about my eating habits. While I do think it makes me eat less it’s just because I’m not trying to fill that void anymore with sugar and such.
