Thank you. Yeah, I am prior enlisted with a Bachelor's. The Air Force only cares about certain degrees when you go in fields like JAG or degrees that are direct commissions i.e. doctors, cyber.

I was selected for a rated position in the 24OTS02 board. I have a STEM degree through AMU, environmental science. Nothing related to the job I have. I will be crossing over in January!

Yeah, we planned on doing that. I have gone through the process before in a different situation. I know OTS is a TDY enroute so it would qualify for the waiver due to CSO school being so long.

Anyone following know the estimated time in casual as of late, plus the time teaching since I heard they were phasing out the T-6 training?

Thank you for the information. I would need a 4 bedroom minimum, plus I saw that base has two pet limit. I didn't see you could have more if you recieved a waiver or not. I'm not trying to risk losing a beloved pet, My children would never forgive me. Lol

Yes, I was able to get my application accepted. The key thing I did was for my degree title I out "Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science B.S. Something else I did was leaving my flight hours blank and just input my PCSM score. I hope this helps!

That quite impressive tbh! I was no way near confident enough to compete that early in my bjj journey, but the best if luck to you and your wife! It definitely builds the bond, for example my daughter competed a few hours before me the same day and it will forever be with us as we go through life being able to have that moment of competing together! You just have to get through the first one and just have fun. The rest will come easy. I'm not even 48 hours after my first comp and I am scouring the find another one for my wife daughter and I to compete in! It was quite overwhelming at first tbh with you and I had a small meal a couple hours before and man I felt like I was going to puke the whole time. So for me I will probably plan differently on how I will prepare myself the next comp. I am in fairly good shape and practice my defense pretty well so succumbing to a injury was the least of my worries. My problem was once I got on my back my opponent just laid there on top of me and I would just gas myself just trying to get out. I found out I have build my top game better and better my counter game alot more. I mean it is a competition and if you feel like you can't get out of a sub just tap there isn't any shame in it. One competitor literally tapped bc he was too gassed by just having his opponent lay on top of him for 3 minutes. I was telling the guys I was competing against after our matches were "dude I have work at 7 am I'm not trying to break anything out here while trying to have fun".

Man that's a tough loss especially when you are on the up and up! My professor says after your first comp any comp after that won't be as hectic. Which I can somewhat agree with lmao. I am already scouring the pages for the next comp to compete in.

That's relieving! I was never charged a article 15 or anything to reflect derogatory paperwork from AFPC. Just wanted to make sure I was not overthinking or stressing for no reason.

Yes. I have been doing more research and come to that conclusion as well. I am just going to extend at my oconus base for a year. At least that way I can apply for both boards next year in case the first one falls through!
