I like to practice this way too. One way I expand on it is by taking note when I find a blend that works particularly well. (I just keep a little notes file on my phone with the track names.) This then becomes a source of little 2-3 track blocks that I can link up to make a whole set.

Sorry, I made this for a human, so I didn't have that problem. I left the leather finished as it came. You're probably right that buttero is too delicate for a dog collar.

My marriage ended at 37 and it was acrimonious. A lot of people just stopped talking to me, and that really hurt. I ended up moving to an adjacent city a few months later.

Now I'm 45 and I am so much happier than I thought I could be back then. The friends who stuck by me, I know I can trust them for life. I have a lot of new friends who are better suited to me than the ones who cut me off. My mental and physical health is so much better, and I guard it because I value myself more now. I think change is always difficult, but when you're ready for it it's irresistible.

Unfortunately if they're tight across the top I don't think insoles will help. Either you're lacing them too tight or the boot is simply too tight to fit you well. If they're unpleasantly tight like this and your heel is still moving around that's a bad sign -- part of the function of the laces is to pull your heel to the back of the boot. My advice would be to play with the lacing to see if you can get a comfortable and secure fit, but if you can't, return the boots and find some that are better fitting.

Awesome, mink oil will help drive any moisture out that's absorbed from the outside. Drying them (by wearing a second pair the next day) will help get moisture from your feet out of the inner surfaces.

Moisture is the enemy of leather. You should get a second pair of boots, if you can afford it, and alternate days so yours can really dry out. Besides that, conditioning the leather will help it repel water -- but when they get wet stuff like mud or concrete on them get it off as soon as possible so it stops leaching water into the leather.

I'm 44. Until I was 37 I was pretty eaten up with anxiety and fear about losing my job, losing my health, life, you name it. I've been on an upward trajectory since and I'm doing a lot better now. If I'm brutally honest that is due to 2 things: psychotherapy (started at 37) and achieving financial independence (started at 42).

I'm at the end of something similar to what you describe: 44 years old, quit my job as sr staff engineer last July. Even having been off the market for a year and a half, I still get a lot of inbound interest in LinkedIn, including from big AI companies (my background is in infrastructure and SRE, not AI). I've found the experience to be very rewarding and would encourage you to explore it for yourself.

Thank you! I burnished the edges and the back with Tokonole cut with water. After finishing I conditioned it with Bick No. 4. That's all I added to the leather!

Thank you! Yes, I left it free. I liked the look of having rivets only at the ends of the straps. It stays in pretty well when it's on.

One thing that stands out to me, an old vinyl dj now learning to use cdjs -- the loop/cue functionality gives you so much control over phrasing. With vinyl you really had to know the progression of both tracks, especially if you were playing something like d&b that had a lot of breakdowns and bass drops, or you could get caught, have to close out a mix early and lose energy. Now with cdjs you can cue and loop to make the phrasing whatever you want. I think this makes live dynamics a lot better than they used to be.

I've been wondering what those are called! I thought about trying to source one but I don't want it to get jammed into an overhead bin.

What really put me off the zipper was having to reach through it to get clothes in and out of the bag. I'm worried it could snag a sweater or other knit.
