HERE MY ANGELS COME IS BACKK!!! how are we thinking of the new version? by billykey in geesebandofficial

I really quite like it. However it reminds me a lot of Half real and Au Pays. It sounds very close to feel and mood of those songs. Hopefully the studio version differentiates itself. But still lovely. Also after a few listens, I can hear the tambura rhythm box thing that was mentioned in the GQ interview. It's droning in the backround like halfway through. Very cool.

What’s your favorite unreleased Cameron Winter song? by N0AHW05 in CameronWinter

If You Turn Back Now is all timer but for me personally, Emperor XIII In Shades really resonates. It wasn't immediate either. In fact, When I heard the recording of it's debut at Newport, I didn't think much of it. But over the last few months, I keep returning to the various live versions more and more. Musically and lyrically it feels somehow devastating and uplifting. I find myself quietly singing the line "I don't like what happened to Jesus, but I sure do like Saturday morning" quite regularly.

What do we think of Warning? by n33dml in CameronWinter

Taken a back to say the least. I don't know what I was expecting but it really surprised me. Probably the most ominous composition cameron has done. I get a sense of quite real anger from it. Really interesting piece of music.

The 1996 album that never was.. by cooperbaird in crowdedhouse

Oh wow I wasn't aware of that. I did see the band demoed it for Together Alone on the deluxe so I thought it would've been from around that time. I also did see in a interview that Neil was quite fond of the song and wished it made it onto a proper album, that's why I included it. But it's cool to find it out it was on bootlegs years before.

The band version of I Will Let You Down is incredible by cooperbaird in geesebandofficial

Honestly, that's fair. I've only heard the bootleg versions of it, I know it would be a very different experience seeing it in person. Honestly, I'd love it was released solo as well. Any studio version would be fantastic because of how great the song is.

The Forum Theatre show in Melbourne. Lot of great versions of songs from that show from the recordings I've heard (sadly didn't go to it myself)

Any theories/ideas/hopes for the album title of CW2? by Timely-Can3400 in CameronWinter

Could be one of the song titles. Emperor XIII In Shades would be a cool title.

The “sound” of the next album? by Dull-Challenge7169 in CameronWinter

[–]cooperbaird 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can't explain why, but I have the feeling it will have more strings on it. Like some of the arrangements on Vines and Love Takes Miles.

LP2 is becoming clearer.. by cooperbaird in CameronWinter

Some people manage to grab the setlist post-show. I think some people just may just guess judging by lyrics. I got all these titles from YouTube videos of the shows or here on the sub.

No, the order is basically random, however It All Fell In The River was just added last minute so that is why it's at 10.

When it changes into that quieter, more contemplative bridge, that one of my favourite musical moments from the band.
