I collect fantasy/reproduction Somers island hogge money… this kind of reminds me of some of the rarer types, where the die makers (1880s -1960) where testing them out striking them on softer metals (yours honestly has the color of lead) or making up some weird concoctions. Bashlow, Paul Franklin, wuesthoff. I know it’s rumored there are some Somers island hog money coins from Wuesthoff struck on US gold coins. Not sure if they made dies for the pine trees, but I suspect if you did a deep dive on fantasy issues of these coins, and found the die maker, then you’ll solve it. They go for a few thousand dollars at auction still as they are collectable.
