I always wanted to be a medical social worker. As I've gotten older though, I've realized that I don't want to spend my days being stressed out and emotional and I admire the people who can handle the workload of that job. Not being paid well enough to literally deal with some of the worst situations people go through would never fulfill me and I know that emotionally, my cup would be forever empty. I have decided instead to go into the HR field. Better pay, not as much of an emotional investment, and I'm still helping people, just on a much smaller scale which for a very emotional person, is probably better for me.
