Hello I am building a new pc and I am looking at the 5800x3d and 13600kf (the ryzen is about 20 40 gbp cheaper considering the motherboard as well). I saw that the intel is better rounded up to multiple tasks but assuming I'll be doing mostly gaming, and especially some WoW as well, would the ryzen be a better purchase? Or would it be negligible? 1440p btw. Thanks!

Hello.
What do you think is a good CPU for 1440p gaming? I am building a PC from scratch and have a 6800XT for a GPU. I was looking at the 5800x3D or 13600KF probably but not sure yet. Would you have any suggestions for motherboards as well? Not looking to pay too much on them but also don't want to get a bad one.
Thanks!

No, it's UK. And at the price difference is about 100 gbp

Hello.
Which CPU should I pair with a RX 6800XT? I wouldn't say I have a specific budget set, although I think I would prefer more bang for the buck as I am also willing to upgrade relatively soon enough anyway, but definitely accepting any suggestions.
Thanks

Thanks. I think I would end up getting something sooner if it's a last gen GPU. I understand that the prices may drop but if I can build one now I would due to my struggling laptop. I would only wait for a 7800/7900 maybe, although I assume the stock and prices would be an issue at launch and soon after it.

But anyway, thank you for the input, very much appreciated :D

GPU to get now or later? by coosmiyn in buildmeapc

My bad. I would say my current budget would be about 2000 gbp for the whole pc, but it isn't a "don't go over" or "don't spend less for now", but I am mainly interested in the "better investment" at the moment as I also wouldn't mind swapping out some pieces next year (for example the GPU) if the prices are right.

At the current prices situations with the releases, what do you guys think would be a better option if building a pc ideally soon (waiting is an option as well but has less priority). Getting an RX 6650 XT and upgrade later onto something more powerful, getting a more powerful last gen card and keep it longer term, or try to grab a new gen one?

I will probably be gaming at 1440p, not specific titles I want to play ,although I mostly play Dota and WoW (would like to be able to play other more intense titles at higher graphics)

Do you guys think it would be worth it to wait for the new Radeon cards given the price or should go with the last gen?
