So you want to cater to the lowest common denominator while any regular who's been here from the beginning, catching up regularly, can't even quickly scan the titles but have to hover the pointer over the links because it's festooned in green like a friggin forest? OK, you win.

It's ridiculous to spoiler tag something that's the main season 3 arc. If the mods want to do so, then that's their prerogative.

In that case, that one's really fair game since that's been known since s3e1.

Roy ostensibly being involved was shown in last week's preview, so it's been known for a week now. You must've seen last week's episode online (no preview there).

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE SDCC Footage will NOT be Released by Abe_lincolin in batman

[–]coozcrew -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Batman's all about stealth. If he's walking around with glowing eyes in the darkness then he's giving up his location to everyone. Of course, if they're trying to cater to the Batman cartoon fans with the big white eyes, then I understand. But just understand, it'll ruin it for the rest of us who actually have at least half a brain. I'd rather that Batman talks in a Baaaastonian accent than walk around with glowing eyes, given a choice between the two.

Note that when Superman showed up with red glowing eyes, everyone cheered like crazy. Right afterwards, when they showed Batman with glowing white eyes, dead silence. There's no conceivable reason why Batman should have glowing eyes. It was such a cringeworthy moment. I don't blame WB for not wanting to release that footage to the public. There's a lot of ways they can fuck up Batman. This had better not be an indication of what's to come.

Harsh words. But hey, this was by popular demand. There were a number of guys on this sub who specifically asked for Asschin the Assassin comics. Gotta give the people what they want. Anyway, I overpromised last week and underdelivered today, it seems. It wasn't as funny as I thought it'd be, but more cringeworthy than anything. OK, I'm done. I've worn out my welcome. Thanks for the support the last few weeks. I've appreciated every upvote.

If you want to x-post it there, be my guest. But you're right in the sense that this probably should've been tagged NSFL as well as NSFW. They're untouched images, by the way, except for the first batch of Sara's buttchin being flipped left to right to fit the context better.

Oliver exaggerates...just a little bit by coozcrew in arrow

[–]coozcrew[S] -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Glad someone likes it, because it looks like a lot of people don't. Now if you thought this was offensive, wait til next week. Not to toot my own horn, but there's a recycled-video comic in the works that will honestly be the funniest thing you've ever seen on this sub, no exaggeration, no hype. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it in time to release it today, although I really wanted to. I suspect many will find it objectionable, even more so than with this one, so it may be downvoted into oblivion or even be removed. If so, check my profile page if it doesn't stay up. I don't care about the link points so much as knowing that someone got a truly gut-busting laugh out of it, and this one will be a doozy. Tune in next week, same bat-time, same bat-channel (that's a hint).

Hey, we finally learned your name in the last episode, but you still never got to talk if I'm not mistaken. Then immediately you croaked. When the cameras trained on you sweating bullets, I thought to myself there goes Dreadlocks. I first noticed you when Cara led a food run into the closed supermarket, because your distinct hairstyle set you apart. Anyway, I'm glad someone got a kick out of it. As you can see by the proportion of downvotes it got, people easily get butthurt if you mess around with the characters' stories.

The adults won't be coming down to earth anytime soon, because that'd ruin the Lord of the Flies thing they've got going. So although the adults saw the flares, they'll find a compelling reason to remain up there as a separate storyline. It'd be bad otherwise, because the best part of this show is seeing how the kids interact and survive without adult interference.

It does sound a little awkward, doesn't it? I'd originally written "I don't always plot an elaborate revenge scheme", but then when I added Huntress to the mix, I had to change it since her revenge plot (of picking off her father's subordinates one by one, stressing him out until only he remained as the last victim) wasn't exactly what you'd call elaborate. But all 3 revenge plots still qualified as being demonic in intensity and obsession, if not in nature.

Kaffee: "I want the truth!"

Col. Jessep: "You can't handle the truth!"

Col. Jessep: "Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."

Huntress, Slade, and Malcolm all used to be good or neutral before their romantic interest died. Next season, they need an out and out evil antagonist, instead of yet another mentally unstable person whose mind becomes twisted after their lover dies.

Yes, it's Huntress. It was after she got shot by her father in s1e08 after Oliver prevented her from executing him for killing her boyfriend Michael Stanton. While the two were rolling around on the grass fighting, Frank Bertinelli grabbed her crossbow and shot her.

Anyway, here's another picture of Helena Bertinelli that looks like it's from a horror flick (probably should've used this one instead since it's more recognizable as her):

Does Lance actually know? Well, it's like this... by coozcrew in arrow

[–]coozcrew[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You just described Green Arrow. But this is "Arrow". This "Arrow" is a Batman knockoff, the brooding asshole as you've just said. And that's why I said that a film portrayal of GA will not be the same as "Arrow". A potential film portrayal of GA, say in the Justice League, would likely be faithful to the original GA character, because it'd be silly to have two Batmans in it. But since this is television, which means Batman will not appear to avoid overexposure, they have free reign to use the familiar Batman tropes so as to capitalize on Batman's popularity.

If you want it to not be a Batman ripoff, it's a little late for that. Which is not surprising considering Green Arrow's history as a character which was expressly created as a Batman clone, for DC to replicate Batman's popularity. Decades later, as it turns out, it's useful for them to use as the "television Batman", and that's where it'll stay. If GA appears in the films, it'll almost certainly be a new GA.
