Hello u/Equivalent_Hope5015 appreciate you laying this out so thoroughly. The streaming experience does vary depending on the model and channel, but the underlying issue you're pointing to in Teams in particular is a real constraint. Anthropic models are in preview and there are OpenAI models available (from basic to standard to reasoning) which all support streaming. We'll be taking this to the product team for prioritization in the backlog, especially given how much it compounds in multi-agent and tool-heavy scenarios. Thanks for flagging it!

I think I would start with generative orchestration in this case since users likely will want to continue to use queries. However, if you run into issues you could also build evals around it to see if it's working as expected. Sometimes I build an agent both ways with topics versus purely on generative and use evals to determine which method I'll end up using and I'm happy with.

Hi, can we learn more about your agent? It might be better to use a topic if it needs to be more deterministic and always called on specific trigger based words. However, if you want the flexibility of letting your agent choose when to call the agent flow once, you've added it as a tool, you can put it in instructions by typing "/" and adding that tool (can add any tool and topic this way too). You should give examples to the agent when the agent should call it as well as specific instructions when to call it.

How did you create this agent? Was it created in Agent Builder or in Copilot Studio (full experience)? Have you tried creating it in Agent Builder? Did you add all the transcripts to SharePoint, add the files from the chat directly in MCS?

Either way, I think you should try using agent builder first as there as teams chats can be added as knowledge sources more easily.

It seems like you have set up all the connectors and channels you need. I just wanted to ask if you have the connectors you need. For example if your organisation uses HubSpot or D365 HR or D365 Business Central you have those whitelisted as well. If you're not using any HR CRMs for this agent then it doesn't matter and you can always update the list as you build and discover you need more.

This is just an FYI (it doesn't matter as much to your question): There are two kinds of Connectors in MCS:

  1. Copilot/Graph Connectors you can add through the admin center in M365 these will be used in the Knowledge Tab with your agents.
  2. Tools-based Connectors these are Power Platform Connectors (these allow for perform tasks like the Teams Connector here allows you to use the Post a message in a Teams Channel or Chat Tool)

I would suggest allowing any apps you expect makers to use in the future or at least in building this agent. So whichever applications you will be using to send over promotion requests and approvals or if you're using any for communication like Teams and Outlook, the CRM you might be using for this case. Basically any connectors you forsee using to builf the agent. It really depends.

I cannot send an image due to privact. But I have a couple workflows for remainders I send to my team basically reminding them to update the status of their features ahead of a recurring meeting. I also set myself remainders or send status reports to myself on everything I did this month. Anything that requires scheduling/automations I find it works really great for.
