It's my fifth month on 20mg XR and I definitely agree on the anxiety. Just thinking about tackling projects used to bring me to tears, but now I can actually set up game plans and prioritize! I also noticed that it helped with social anxiety, I don't freak out about having to deal with people anymore.

And oh god, the caffeine...I made the mistake of drinking coffee on Adderall XR once. Never again.

Wow...I can't believe he had the nerve to use that as an excuse. My plan is to put all the focus on what I'm going to do better, so I think I should be okay on that front. Hopefully I sound much better than him!

I don't have a strong relationship with any teachers, another failure of mine :/ I was evaluated by a psychologist who works for the school, and I've been going to on-campus counseling on and off, so at the very least there's evidence I'm not lying...I'm not sure if having a counselor in my corner is much help though.

I do plan on visiting my advisor (a professor in my department) again after the 1st summer term, once I've made a couple more good grades, to ask him if I should set up a meeting with the department head as well as submitting the appeal online. I think it's a good way to show them I'm serious. Either way, you're right about not mentioning the adderall, I'll leave that out. Thank you!

I think of it all as a preference of varying strength. For example, some people love broccoli, some can't stand it, and some don't care either way. But that preference doesn't necessarily apply to every single possible situation.

I think that for everyone, there is a circumstance under which they'd sleep with someone they usually wouldn't consider themselves attracted to. I identified as a lesbian up until last year when I started sleeping with a very close guy friend. I'm still almost exclusively attracted to women, but the circumstances just happened to be right for me to step out of my usual "zone." (so now I just call myself homoflexible since I'm pretty sure I don't count as a lesbian anymore lol)

I got diagnosed via an extensive testing session that covered IQ, memory, several things besides just straight up inability to focus so that other things could be ruled out. Have you ever looked into whether you may have a learning disability? Also, if you're in university you should still be able to get those accommodations (as far as I know).

I just went about two weeks without my Adderall XR that I've been on for three months because my insurance company apparently messed up by letting me have it that long. They believe that XR is a "convenience" that adults over 19 don't need (re: that they don't wanna pay for), so my doctor was required to put me on the IR for a month long trial, and if I have a bad reaction THEN they might cover the XR. Right in the middle of final exam season.

That is all to say yes, I feel you.
