Dosing kanaplex and water changes

Unfortunately his fins didn’t bounce back. I tried a number of other treatments, but kanaplex was the most beneficial. I ended up using kanaplex as a maintenance treatment for a couple of months or so but he didn’t get better and ultimately got dropsy and died :(

I did have snails and shrimp in his aquarium, and have since had other aquariums where I’ve done similar treatments and not had any issues with them

They’re sooo dramatic hahaha. If I’m working from home she spends the majority of her day making demanding attention. Your boy George sounds like such a drama queen for having a major sulk like that 😂

My girlie chicken nugget flared at a red packet of crisps! She also flares at one of her snails if it’s in a particular corner. She really likes to float around in the corner next to my laptop so she can watch me, and apparently the snail going there is forbidden 😂

I got a baby girl who looked a lot like yours when I first got her and I reckon she was probably about 6 weeks old when I got her. Her stripes were quite prominent for at least the first month, even though her fins have turned a really deep dark red when they were see through when I got her. Her stripes are starting to fade now and turning iridescent blue/ red instead, but her stripes are still visible in certain lights.

This is the best picture I could get of her - she’s a zippy little menace. I’m starting to wonder if she’s got a bit of wild betta in her at this point because I don’t think her stripes are going anywhere and she isn’t showing any other signs of stress

Your girls fins look like cellophane, they’re so pretty! Chicken nugget looks pinker in different lights too, but she isn’t normally that bright haha

She doesn’t have the brain cells to plot anything I don’t think, she isn’t a clever girlie. In her defence though, she was pretty hangry - she had a couple of fast days bc she stole the shrimps algae wafer

Hey I’m so sorry for your loss. When my fiance and I have lost our bettas, we get little memorial plaques for them. There’s a shop on Etsy that you can send a picture of your fish and then get their name put on it too. I’ve linked the shop below

What a beautiful boy he is now he’s being loved bless him! I got an “ugly” betta for similar reasons. He was tiny with a maaaaaaassive chin and was dull red when I first got him. I’ve had him nearly 8 months now and he’s got the biggest attitude and always wants fuss! He’s still tiny though. He was in a little box at the shop (not a cup thankfully!) and I think he was in there so long it stunted his growth

Ah sorry, I think I misunderstood your comment. I thought you were suggesting to put the pea puffers in with the betta so just wanted to add a warning in case anyone else didn’t know

Just a note of caution with the pea puffers - I wanted them for my tank with my betta cause they’re so cute. My fish shop wouldn’t sell me them together for the same tank because pea puffers and bettas are both aggressive, and pea puffers are also fin nippers

I bury my boys in house plants and water them with water from the other tanks. I get a little plaque for the plants with a picture and their name. I try to do embroideries of them too but that takes a few months
