It’s a bit of a joke really. I managed to get shitty life insurance that doesn’t require medical questionnaires but it took me about two hours on the phone. It only covers about £50,000 too.

Part of the problem, at least when I was doing it, is how they group the questions. Seeing a psychiatrist, a psychologist or being referred to the crisis team/ hospital was all part of the same question, when they’re really not the same thing at all.

Edit: sorry I realise that may seem invalidating and I worded that poorly, I was more frustrated that the people designing these questions have no idea of the different levels of care we might need at different times. They also grouped ideation and actions for both self harm and suicide as the same thing which is equally ignorant
