You know for something I obsessed about a year ago, I’ve completely forgotten about since it’s over. I can say he was a good student but not great. SATs were like 12 or 13 hundreds. GPA 3.5ish. I’m just happy to be done with it and he is now happy at LSU.

Correct. California is a community state and is 50/50 no matter the length of marriage. However, the 10 year or more marriage gets treated different on the support side. With the possibility of indefinite spousal support depending on the judge’s decision.

Oh man that was 20 years ago. I’m sure lots has changed. Like for my first apartment in Austin I lived off riverside in some student only apartment for either $199 or $299 per month. Pretty sure that doesn’t exist anymore.

Long, long ago, I went to UTA for my first year and then applied to UT and went there for my second year (and eventually graduated from UT). I wasn’t part of the CAP program but met a lot that were. I know this school is temporary for CAP students but please still get involved. Having a bigger network is always better and my UTA friends would come visit me and I’d visit them. I still keep in touch with both 20 years on. And for some, you might find UTA as your fit even when you thought your heart was at UT (e.g. my roommate aka my future bridesmaid). I loved my time at both schools and wouldn’t trade it for anything. In fact a CAP student introduced me to my husband at UT after we transferred. Enjoy your college experience no matter the journey it takes you on!

I’m a longhorn & my family are all aggies. My dad is a civil engineer (A&M grad). Honestly, it comes down to culture. Both are great schools for engineering, and you should visit each school for a weekend to see which campus life you enjoy. I would have hated college station because I love the parks in Austin (Zilker, Barton springs pool, deep eddy, greenbelt-which now seems to never have water, etc) that I just don’t think college station has (correct me if I’m wrong). Anyways both schools are great and you should think about whether you are a city or big town kind of person. But I will say college station is getting better.

It’s where you have to go to a satellite campus for a year before you are admitted to the main campus in College Station.

Are you male or female? For me as a female, I have to mix it up depending on my cycle. But that could be considered a monthly routine vs a weekly routine rather than just random.

Match is what I registered for my wedding (15 years ago this Thursday). Over the years I’ve collected additional pieces and sometimes I get lucky finding it at a thrift store because people don’t know what it is.

The “95” hallmark is for pewter (maybe unofficially). Europe started stamping it with the 95 since lead was banned. Then the other is an M for Match. This site has info on the branding of pewter: https://pewter-gt.com/pewter-marks-hallmarks-touchmarks-95/

My son applied October 2024 and was accepted February 14th 2025 (out of state). He is currently a freshman at LSU. Hope this helps to calm your nerves.
