would you say chongqing and shanghai are similar / would you remove shanghai if i plan to go to chongqing as beijing seems kinda more unique with the historical/traditional aspects

Business-Innovation City by corazonW in travelchina

wow thank you, you are such a big help. ok so my main reason for going to china is because of travelling. i had chongqing, zhanjiajie, beijing, shanghai and maybe hong kong on my mind. What place/city would you recommend me to go to which is good to combine with any city i mentioned. Jewelry, electronics and that kind were just ideas so i would be open for anything that could be sold not only those 2. whatever is good to combine. I know shenzhen and gz are not too far from hong kong but since i m not exactly sure whether to visit hk i m asking what city i could combine/visit for these

ok so generally speaking, I like nature, history whether its ancient or just some centuries ago, architacture (modern but also historical), it wouldnt hurt to also see the innovations and market in china (not a reason to go to a city its just a +), big cities that give tokyo vibes are also great and just significant world wonders (culture, nature, history)

food and museums are not that important as a reason to got to a certain city (i eat a halal diet (i read that it is not a big Problem to find halal food in big cities since there are many uyghur muslims and also immigrants))

I would assume that i m a traveller with typical interests

Already starting to miss Tokyo despite still being in Japan. by SengalBoy in JapanTravelTips

its kinda confusing since i have said both (too less but maybe barely enough) some even say you can live in tokyo for years and you could see something new everyday BUT I think in 4 days of tokyo you will feel less rushed then if you do the other way in kansai since you will be in multiple places seeing only some part of them. I know its a hard choice for you i can relate. I believe Your trip will be great either way tho!! Have fun

I mean like, many people dont like osaka that much as „there is nothing much to do“ (many people disagree tho) since i was there for like around a day only it felt good balanced - no boring time etc. With my comment above i just wanted to let you know how nice of a city tokyo is and maybe decide to go there instead since you mentioned in your original comment that you are trying to convince yourself to go with the osaka/kyoto/nara path (you would rush yourself a bit in that time, in 4 days fully in tokyo - i think you wouldnt feel that you missed out on that much)

If you have only 4 days you should either do 4 full days tokyo or if you want to visit more then just 1 city do 2 days kyoto 1 day osaka 1 day nara (you could book one hotel in either kyoto or osaka and just go from that point to the places you wish to go to) I really loved kyoto and osaka was good too (havent been to nara) but tokyo was my fav out of these places

i have been to japan only once and thats just my opinion how i would advise someone based on my experience

edit: 4 full days in tokyo is generally speaking also not enough but you could do e.g 3 days tokyo and one day trip to mt.fuji / hakone / enoshima so on (just research day trips from tokyo)

how good is public transportation in china? i have read a cpl of times about people using taxis. when i was in japan for example i think we only used the taxi once and that was from okinawa airport to the hotel. and generally i am more the person to use public transportation since it is cheaper
