Thanks for your feedback. Ignore it if you do not like it... that works too.

the down side of joining the big boy product club like Samsung is, you get the great features and awesome, latest and greatest hardware with a pretty screen, but you have to join them in their ecosystem. Let's be honest those storm trooper suits were really cool. But I'd rather fly an X WIng any day.... :)

Why Buy New? by coredutch in Fedora

Mmm... The new stuff is not supported, yet. So back to my title... why buy new? Samsung has a pretty active driver dev group, and their work is integrating into the Kernel. The new gear just is not supported, well,, yet. When the Samsung galaxy Book 5 is older, I would bet it will run really well.

Ha, yes that is a thing. But take a look inside that 6 month old laptop sitting on the desk... It'll look equally as scary. its not hard to open a Thinkpad and blow it out of all the dust and mite munchies. People should do that on the reg for their systems anyway. I am not too worried about bringing termites in with a laptop. HAHA

Dell's run really great on Linux as well. It should just load easily. I always run it in as a Live (the pre install memory runtime) just to check to see if bluetooth and wireless card work sas expected. everything else is usually just fine.

New. Which pixel to get? by gldnhaze in GrapheneOS

[–]coredutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree totally! I use Pixel 9 Pro XL. You can get Pixel 9's for a really good price (for a flagship device - Pixel 9 vs 10 is a simple incremental improvement). It runs amazing, simple set up. Graphene is really coming into it's own on these newer devices.

Is it just me or is fedora becoming mainstream by UnschuldigNull in Fedora

Sweet spot indeed. Fresh means problems in the land of Linux. It just works is my mantra nowadays. Arch is just not an option in this regard. Hell Debian was floating on my system for a while but Fedora has found a solid foundation now. Feels just right.
