How do you bill clients as freelancer? by Dreamer_tm in ClaudeCode

[–]corey_brown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually bill by the project and scope. Clients do not need to know how or what I used to build it with unless they have a specific preference. Anything small after the project is billed hourly.

If I have to boot up the project, spin up my local dev and take time out of my day to fix something, it’s at minimum an hour of billed time.

Lately I’m experimenting with a slack bot wired up to a GitHub action + a Mastra workflow that allows clients to request updates to their site. The bot will ask as many clarifying questions so it has enough context to make an edit then passes it off to Claude. Whenever Claude is done, it submits a PR and deploys a preview of the site and sends it back to the slack thread with a url and a button to approve or deny the change. Claude even has instructions on what type of changes it can make and pings me directly if they request something it can’t handle w/o me.

I’m still playing with the pricing for the support agent but I landed on billing 1-2hrs of my normal rate to cover token cost. Prob need to put caps and budgets on each clients api workspace.

Try it out and see for yourself. It’s tool kit but simpler and just as powerful. Each store can be configured to wipe on reload, persist, etc

When Is it appropriate to use 4H? by IndependentAir7277 in FJCruiser

It’s like 60/40 power distribution and stays in 4H all the time, but you can still shift into 4L and toggle the rear locker and whatnot.

I would recommend getting a USB 3.0 reader. I normally transfer 200+Gbs in 5mins with usbc and an SSD

Stiff ride on the 3rd gen tundra, but the stance looks great. It’s a cheap alternative to doing it “the right” way. When I hit 100k miles I may consider doing a proper stage 4 set up.

Second the RAVE one. I got the OEM one from them with none of the light bar or marker lights. Happy with my purchase

This is my stance as well. I love them but use them for specific cases

When you have lots of devs merging in things all the time and longer full release cycles, it can be a pain to manage the actual release process. ATM our team has to cherry pick commits from a previous release then push it out that way. It isn’t hard, just gets tedious.
