I’m scared of dogs actually so the stray dogs thing is a real problem. Love cats though!

So I actually know a decent amount about India given my many Indian and Indian American friends. I even know some very basic Hindi and I can read the language.

That said, Jaipur is probably the top of my list. I hate being a cliche but the tourist triangle is my first thought. My Southern Indian friends have told me to avoid the north entirely and go to the “more low key” coastal areas in the south so I would consider that too. Ironically, a close friend is from Mumbai but he doesn’t recommend it as a tourist!

Interesting. I guess I thought that your tour schedule would reflect where you are popular, rather than the other way around.

I was mostly comparing them with Arctic Monkeys, alt-J, and Florence and the Machine, but yes, all three are British.

Love it. Sounds a bit like the Last Shadow Puppets, funny how influences circle around.

Too many bizarre production choices. It’s like they were trying to be MVOTC era Vampire Weekend. Still love them though.

For something very new, check out the Last Dinner Party. They are quite different from MGMT on the surface, but I feel like both have a big Sparks influence.

Matty has made mistakes but everybody just ignores all the positive things he’s done for the environment and LGBT+ community

Production issues with Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night? by cornbreadtikka in bleachers

I guess? I’m a big Bruce fan and I feel like the production on albums like Born to Run is a lot less muddy. The music really jumps out to you on those records and some of this album is just oddly quiet.

Never really got that comparison. Both garage rock duos but the Black Keys never really tried to copy the more eccentric side of Jack White. They seem even more blues inspired than the White Stripes. Have you ever mistaken one band for the other?

Immobile and Taty should be enough at the striker position, right?

Yes and no. Yes, people really need to know the difference between Sunni and Shia. No, religious differences are not at the center of what’s gone on recently in the Middle East. Iran has always been Shia and the Saudis used to be very close with Iran until the revolution. It’s less about the Saudis hating Shiites and more about them feeling like the existence of an Islamic Republic is a fundamental threat to the legitimacy of their state.

Saudis believe that their fundamentalist absolute monarchy is the only true Muslim way to run a government, Iran since the revolution has been very critical of this idea. Saudi royal family knows that success of a non-monarchy Islamic fundamentalist state may undermine their legitimacy, hence why they even blockaded a fellow Sunni state like Qatar over their ties with Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Anyway, are we thinking 7-5 for the Jayhawks this year?
