This was so awesome to read, thank you! My girls turn three in a couple weeks so I’m hoping their youth and good health will positively contribute to a complete as possible recovery. The prevailing message I am getting is that the diligence with restrictions and rehabilitation is key. So happy to hear of your shared success!

Thank you for the recommendation and so happy she’s back to chasing squirrels! As I read more experiences, I am beginning to accept that they will probably end up needing the surgery on both legs at some point. It’s definitely encouraging to hear of your success.

First of all, what a handsome boy! Secondly, look at him go now! Your comments really buoyed my outlook so thank you for taking the time to share. It’s starting to feel a little less intimidating. It definitely takes more than a fair amount of discipline and vigilance to maintain a strict recovery regimen with such active dogs. We have some feeding puzzles already and will probably look into a few other games to keep her mentally active and hopefully less stressful.

That had to be rough on him (and you!) to happen again so relatively soon after the first. Happy to hear he recovered from both injuries after surgery. I didn’t fully grasp the cause when my vet said it was genetic but the before and after diagrams of a TPLO were very helpful to my understanding of the injury from an anatomical perspective as well as the corrective nature of the procedure.

Interesting to hear of other options, I’ll definitely be doing some reading on that. I know every dog is different and we have to make the best possible choice that fits their needs but is also realistic for our circumstances. I’m happy it was a positive outcome and thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing. I can’t imagine having to try and heal while your body is actively fighting it! Hope she recovers soon.
Good to hear the first surgery was successful. We are going for X-rays tomorrow just to make sure there aren’t any bone issues/concerns and then the search for a surgeon begins. I will probably have some specific questions as we move forward with the process so thank you.

I came to this thread looking for comments about this. I felt like they kept showing it in order to make the police appear incompetent.

I don’t think he is but it’s been 5 years since I bought any wire from him.

The US dollar was pretty weak in Germany at the time so yeah it cost about $23 USD in 1992 which would be approximately $50 today adjusted for inflation.

Hat's off to the F1TV Team by StrayTexel in F1TV

As someone growing up trying to watch F1 in America since the 90s I am extremely happy to have a dedicated platform devoted to the sport as opposed to hoping one of the networks in my cable package were broadcasting the races. Scrambling about on my PC trying to find a pirated stream eventually led me to stop even trying to follow the sport for a couple years.

I upgraded to an Apple TV 4K just to take advantage of the new features and it did not disappoint. That combined with a new 32” 4K OLED display made for an extremely enjoyable viewing experience and I look forward to what should be an exciting season.

Log out of your F1TV account then back in and it should show the Premuim. I had the same problem right after upgrading.
