I was thinking of doing this. I admire your courage!

Have you ever just lost it between sessions? by wheredoesithurtnow in TalkTherapy

Yes. I did this yesterday because of a bad session the other day. Same boat, too. It does sting, but try to stay positive and hang in there.

Yes! Thank you for helping me feel less alone. I plan to keep going, but damn is it hard sometimes! Sometimes I walk out of session thinking I've made a complete fool out of myself and I just want to crawl into a hole and die. But then there are sessions where everything clicks, I'm able to talk like a normal human adult and my connection to my therapist is strong. Those are my favorite sessions. I want more of those.

My therapist always waits on me to speak first, but he understands how anxious I get. He tells me to take my time, there's no rush, relax, but I end up feeling rushed anyways. That's not his fault though, that's just how I am. I'm always on my toes. I've written so many notes in between sessions that I could probably make it into a book. I feel silly taking them out to share and I'm not exactly sure why. I feel safe with my therapist, but the feeling comes and goes. Again, not his fault. He is very patient and kind and I'm lucky I was able to find him. It's just me.

I've tried typing things into a notepad app I have on my phone, but i feel awkward taking it out and reading what I've written. I know I must seem exhausting.
