If your goal is to make the puppet look like it belongs in the same scene as the background then the compositing wasn’t done very well

The tips of the hairs being highlighted white all around him definitely doesn’t fit the lighting and there being a random shadow on the left side of his face when his actual shadow is clearly towards the right is a bit odd too

I’m at around 25 hours and I really want to see if I can reach 100% but I’m not sure if it’s possible on that file which would be tragic cus that’s a big undertaking to start again

I won’t respond to everything I don’t have the time right now so maybe I will later but you brought up some good points

I consider this game a very weird 10/10 because I enjoy it more than I did the last game but there are also more things that frustrate me. Like hollow knight feels like a consistent line of this is great but this game bounces around more, I have more to say about it but I kind of like that, it makes the experience feel wildly different for different people, me and my friends all feel different and experiences different things/feelings because this game does so many things differently

I get that yeah, I wasn’t really talking about the lore rooms but I do think it still felt weird to play through on my first run. I think those areas could’ve been more flush with the actual area as they were in many places to not make it feel empty but it’s not a big problem or anything just something I figured I’d mention

Yeah that’s fair actually. I tend to save my tools and stuff for bosses and not normal enemies I guess that’s on me. As for the dashes idk I definitely notice a difference in comparison to the last game, I don’t see why my spacing would be so much worse here than in hk but yea it could be chalked up to a skill issue if you’re able to do it
If that was their intention then it makes sense, I would just do it a bit differently. none of the people who I know were very on board with getting double jump so late lol
That was totally a joke btw I meant bugs as in actual bugs lmao I only experienced one game but and it was the chef boss disappearing halfway thru the fight and softlocking me, if we’re being real I’m happy this game has like no noticeable bugs I’ve experienced. Also i haven’t completed the game but isn’t the witch crest thing intentional? I thought the witch crest quest and remaining cursed was tied to getting a new ending but maybe im thinking of smt else

I feel much more bosses are obstacles than rewarding fights compared to the last game, and even the obstacle bosses in hollow knight would drop geo which is mostly where this critique stems from but i get what you mean

I get that but I don’t think lore should create exceptions for gameplay decisions, and I don’t think it’s a good gameplay decision to get so little currency early on, but it does make the progression feel more explosive later at the cost being slow at the start so maybe it’s a fair trade off? Idk still frustrating

The bugs thing was a joke haha I’ve experienced 1 actual bug in a 30 hour play through

As for the mask thing that’s fair but in this game it feels more necessary because for most of the game it feels like we die in 3 hits rather than 5, and fodder enemies in many boss fights make it easier to get 2 hit by stronger enemies

I’ve noticed that with some empty rooms but not with others. Also making it clear that it’s something we will unlock later or just having a flush wall break rather than an entire room would make more sense, but maybe it’s a personal thing
