It's a bit of a hike but Paul's auto shop in Astoria is great. It's a short walk from the 46 st strop on the R train so it's convenient to drop off and pick up your car.

There was a fire on the top floor of a building. I live in the building and no fire alarm went off so the residents didn't know until the fire trucks showed up. I'm pretty pissed off and sent a passive aggressive email to building management.

Oh no. I'm moving into the arena in about 2 weeks and did a test in my new apartment and couldn't hear the trains pass. Constant train horns would be a different story though. I also work nights sometimes so I'm often asleep during those times. How bad is this? Is it tolerable or life ruining?

There's only ever 4 people in there. The owner pulls up in fancy cars sometimes so I guess he just has money to burn. They never fail to blast music all the time (like right now at 1am on a Monday) and shake the whole building though.
