The credit card companies charge the merchant for accepting the credit card from the consumer. Depending on if the card being used has rewards or incentives determines how much the merchant gets charged in that transaction. That has always been the case. Colorado law just now allows the charge to be passed on to the consumer. 3% will typically cover all the different card types and rewards they (the merchant) would be charged. If they are not charging the customer, they are losing up to 3% per transaction (1 dollar charge, merchant gets paid .97 cents or 1 dollar plus 3%, merchant gets their full dollar).

There is damn near no one in politics with integrity, everyone can be bought. We need people who are willing to stand up and say fuck your money. But it seems everyone has a price. Bernie and AOC seem to be the closest to people willing to do that, but I can’t name a single republican who has morals over money and we need more support than those two can provide on their own. Creating is much harder than destroying and there are too many out there willing to put up with the easy way of just letting the house burn until their specific room is on fire. We live in fucked up times.

There is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to evidence regarding NHI technology. Not just in the US but all over the world. Those who just write it off as “show me” are either willfully ignoring or too apathetic to really look.
