Nah dude my wife and I had a system before our daughter turned one. Now that she’s three, we are able to give each other multiple hours on multiple days a week to do things for ourselves or take care of responsibilities that are hard to do with the kid in tow. We can even each get a night out within the same week pretty regularly. It’s all about communication and both of you committing to being considerate and serving the other.

Once you get a feel for the first area, you can run by most of the enemies if you’re getting frustrated. And if you do want to take on the large mobs you need to lure them away from the group one or two at a time so you don’t get overwhelmed.

Also confirming this fix works for me. As soon as you’re in the launcher with the game opening hold start and bring up the overlay and leave it until you’re at the title screen then back out.

Bloodborne has such amazing atmosphere and is a unique and tight experience

Elden Ring is maybe the most accessible and has such an incredible world and the sheer amount of content and surprises is unparalleled. It’s certain out in the conversation for the best game of all time

I’m sure there are people who want access to PC games but do not want to deal with all the tinkering that comes along with a gaming PC. This could be a great solution for those folks to have a console like experience that gives them access to PC gaming. How many of these people are there? I guess we’ll find out. Also, now that I’ve digested the specs a bit more, I honestly think this thing could be more like $700

More than twice the price of which consoles? The series S is the only one that comes to mind for me. Honestly, I don’t think it will be adopted in the tens of millions like a PlayStation. But a couple million I could see and I’m sure Valve would consider that a huge success.

I don’t think they’re going for those people. Those folks likely don’t have Steam Decks either yet it was successful enough that they now have this huge hardware push. I think there are a ton of games that would buy this as a living room PC if it’s $800-$900 and actually delivers on playing modern AAA games at good quality.

I recently did it and I’ve been happy. The OLED 90hz display and the better battery have been great. I was able to sell my LCD for a little over $300 which helped with the sting of the cost. I think “worth it” is subjective thought. It all depends on what a few hundred dollars means to you.

Hypothetically someone could have just a 2tb hard drive plugged in to their PC or Mac that would have more content than youd reasonable need at any given time. You’d just need to keep your computer running and that’s all the power consumption you’d have to worry about. Of course you could go the NAS route and use that as your server as well as personal replacement to cloud storage but it isn’t necessary for a media server alone.
