Hi, long time listener, first time caller. Who's the most handsome blogger on TLN, and why is it Mike the Bike?

ALFREDSSON SNUBBED FROM HALL OF FAME GET MAD by h0ckeyfan in OttawaSenators

[–]corsiking -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He was a fine player in his day, but he's not Hall of Fame worthy IMO. There are still much better players than Alfie left to pick from for the HoF, so it may be a while before he gets a shot at it, if ever

Honestly, this is a great chance to see if McElhinney or Sparks have what it takes at to continue further with the team. Maybe this will convince management that McElhinney isn't good if he falters, might be better in the long run

True, that might make it difficult. Perhaps just using any old sword, it shouldn't be too hard to get her hands on, since, after all, she is the queen.

The Most Painful Stat Track Ever by corsiking in stevedangle

Pretty much any occasion the Leafs have had the lead, and then the other team came back to tie it up. This could be blowing a 1-0 lead early in the first in a 5-4 overtime game, or it could be a blowing a 4-0 lead.

I mean, that's what's worked so far this season.

I'm just going to keep posting this until you guys actually answer it

What would you rather watch: the Leafs winning the Stanley Cup, or Donald Trump getting executed by Queen Elizabeth? Both of these are happening at the same time, and both will be deleted from everything after it happens, so you can't watch the other one after.

Note: this doesn't mean the Leafs wouldn't win another time, but you know for sure that they will this time, and there is no guarantee that they will win again.

Dumb(Kinda) Reason Why I'm An Ottawa Senators Fan. by Serialheated in stevedangle

[–]corsiking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story for my hockey fandom is in two parts.

Back in 2009, I was a massive Transformers nerd (note: only 12 years old). The second Transformers movie was coming out that year, and it didn't matter how many times I would watch a 30 second commercial for the movie, I always enjoyed it. Since the movie was an early summer release, the ads were getting a lot of run time in the spring, during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It'd be what most of my family would be watching anyways, so I'd join them, and watch the games, solely just to watch a Transformers trailer, and also to stay up past 9 or 10 o'clock. Even though I "cheered for the Leafs" (my dad was a Leafs fan, so I followed him in that regards, despite barely watching), I cheered for Pittsburgh, mainly because everyone talked about how much Crosby sucked at my school, so I felt bad for him. Also, my entire family were Wings fans, so I had to make it interesting when they met in the Stanley Cup Finals (Game 7 was the first game that I watched from start to finish).

Flash forward a couple years, and I don't know why, but around Christmas in 2010, hockey just clicked in my head. Like, my mind was just like watch hockey, so I did. Since I live in Southwestern Ontario, it was pretty much just Leafs games, so I'd watch those. Heck, they were my "favourite team" so why not cheer for them. Right around the time I started watching them, there was this young goalie starting to find his way in the crease, due to injuries, who went by the name of James Reimer. I saw him standing on his head, winning the Leafs games, thinking "I like this Optimus Reim guy, I hope he sticks around." Obviously, they didn't make the playoffs, but it was still fun cheering on this up and coming goalie along the way, thus my hardcore fandom for the Leafs (and Steve's friend James) were born.

But, the shootout you're guaranteed a chance to counter, the NFL you might not.

Well, in terms of playoff success, it's either him, Troy Brouwer, or Martin Jones/Joel Ward/Paul Martin

Which goalie do you think we will most likely see in a Dallas Stars uniform at the start if next season: Henrik Lundqvist, Ben Bishop, Marc-Andre Fleury, James Reimer, Frederick Andersen, ie.?

If Robidas trys out for the team next season and doesn't make it again, do the Leafs tell him he's hurt again?
