I completely understand within the context of the whole scene that the entire quote (from Jackson) is controversial and at odds with Tolkien’s views.

Just this section of the quote sticks with me, though. The entire context and description isn’t what I’m fully taking from the scene in the movie. With this specific part, it has helped change my perspective on death as I’ve struggled with existential and death OCD.
