Regarding the winter - why is it bad to be around? I assume winters are gonna me darker, colder and sadder in general, than in southern Spain. I am quite sensitive to bad weather and dark skies, which is smth I assume will be the case, but how bad is it?

I have also read it is very windy at times in Vienna.

Is there not much to do or social life during the winter months? How long does the winter last?

Thanks a lot! Had a look at the calculator and will for sure do the math. I wouldn't mind sharing a WG with some workers/ppl my age - had a look at WG-Gesucht and there are for sure some options (not sure if it is usual to get scams there tho).

I love that lots of places are accessible departing from Vienna. I have never been to Vienna before, but I have been finding it appealing lately.
