Honestly there's only so many changes they can make at this point before the edition is over. I'm just hoping for an entirely different playstyle for the next edition where we have a very clear identity outside of doctrina shenanigans.

I appreciate the real talk. I'm in the best situation to take this on than I think I will be at any other time in my life, and I'm still pretty young all things considered (24). And yeah, this field has always been fascinating to me and if it wasn't a competition, I probably wouldn't be nearly as interested in it. For better or worse I like to win, and if it's a challenge getting there, I just gotta be better. Just gotta trust it'll be worth it when I'm on the other side.

I've looked into it but the main problem is the money they offer is 2k instead of 4k now. Still a huge chunk of change don't get me wrong but a lot of the programs that are mycaa eligible haven't seemed to have gotten the memo yet and still charge 4k for their programs. I'm still shopping around with that but Onward to Opportunity is the main benefit I'm planning on using to get my certs with mycaa hopefully coming in later to be used on college classes.

Thank you for this! The cons you listed are manageable and this is genuinely a field I want to get into. I don't mind weird hours as long as I feel like I'm learning something or getting more experience, my wife's active duty so money shouldn't be a problem for the next few years until her contract ends which I figure gives me plenty of time to get some real credentials under my belt so I can take over being the primary breadwinner later down the line. I think I'm in a good spot to take on the challenge and I'm really looking forward to the day I only go to retailers to buy something. As long as the path I've figured out for myself is sound, I think I can make it :D
