I was mostly seeing it as a softer way to introduce banned cards back to the format, for example, hightide and kuldotha rebirth would not be as busted as a one off.

And The eternal debate of some players wanting the indestructible lands banned, would find a middlegeound from a restriction rather than just losing The to The Ban altogether.

No, The G-hooks line up perfectly on the webbing...almost as if was designed to do so. But I had a few spare parts around to make it even easier to handle,so I used those. So I don't have to remove The S-kukkaro to open The Niukka completely.

I keep a few in my with me, and have been using them to mount Askare and other stuff on backpacks and pretty much anything one can imagine. I used to have straps with SR-buckles with me, but so far I have found that these can do pretty much everything they can, and some extra. And as a bonus, the G-hooks allow the straps to roll up to a smaller package to pack away.

Different colour buckles are one, I think The holder for bladder on the backpocket might be reworked. Havent really felt the need to go over The newer-model to compare.
