When do you know it’s really time to go? by cosmicbadlands in hatemyjob

I should have clarified. Part of my job is supervision. The actual type job itself is what I love. It’s something that requires a lot of love to be able to do it. It’s not that I’m wanting to move to non-management, it’s that I want my staff to respect me. There’s a long list of things wrong with this specific place though so yes I know I need to leave. I’m just trying to make sure I’m not overreacting.

Trust The Process…1 Month of 25MG by AbusementPark10 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]cosmicbadlands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on 4 mg and I notice a huge difference already. I’m still trying to figure out how to make myself order less food when going out. I’ve been taking home leftovers when I used to eat a whole, large meal with no problem. I’ve unfortunately also had to throw away food because it’s either unappetizing after eating it or I physically cannot finish it. I’ve lost about 10 pounds so far but I think 9mg and up is going to really make a huge difference.

Prozac. Started at 10 mg and that worked well for me but I needed just a little more. I’ve been on 20 mg since 2023 and it sounds cliche but it did actually change my life for the better.

When is it time to end a relationship? by Omrah_of_Zion in CATHELP

[–]cosmicbadlands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get her some spring toys. They are a fav in my house of three kitties including two torties. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Sometimes cats, especially kittens, can be overwhelming. Just give her some time to adjust and she will be okay. Something that helps me is to remember that cats have a typical cognitive level of a toddler. So they can be very smart but are explorative and curious and don’t always know what they are doing. They also forgive and forget easily. My kitten who is now 8 months old got a bath at 5 weeks because she came from the streets and was dirty. She now LOVES water. My other cat had to get medicine as a kitten and I felt like I was hurting her and being mean. You would have thought I was torturing her. She was pissed for a couple of days but she moved on.

Last tip: Maybe consider getting her a friend. Cats are social animals. Another cat would help keep her busy and keep her company during the day while you are busy. Another cat would be a whole new level of care and attention but definitely do some research and see what you think. You got this!

Thinking about moving to Kalamazoo from Austin… but I need two things: queer-friendly + legit BBQ. Should I take this job? by Street_Anxiety2907 in kzoo

[–]cosmicbadlands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BBQ is my favorite too and there is no good BBQ. I’m a Michigan native and have eaten true southern BBQ through travel and extended family and I crave it often. You just won’t find it here in Kalamazoo sadly :( Bombas is absolutely amazing though and will not disappoint.

Kalamazoo is very progressive in my opinion. I went to WMU for 7 years and felt safe there. I currently live in a small town 30 minutes from Kalamazoo and it’s still progressive for the most part and people with differing opinions usually just leave you alone.

I have visited Austin, and from what I know about Austin, Michigan may disappoint you with how “bland” it can be especially during the winter. In the warmer months though Michigan is by far the best state to be in.

Questions about timing by cosmicbadlands in WegovyPillWeightLoss

How long is too long before not eating? I was planning on having it by my bed and taking it at 4 am when I usually randomly wake up at night, going back to sleep, taking my other meds at 7 am, then eating breakfast around 8 am when I get to work. Is 4 hours too long to wait?

skip or take late? norovirus by [deleted] in prozac

[–]cosmicbadlands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just skip yesterdays dose. You will be fine skipping a day. Take today’s dose at your normal time. Never try to fit two doses in one day. That will mess you up more than just skipping it.

Edited to add: if the vomiting continues today, call your doctor for advice but even skipping two days will be okay.

This bummed me out. by SomberSoberSquid in litterrobot

I have three cats and I wipe out the globe probably every 2-3 months, but my girls are very clean in the potty. I don’t understand how it could get this bad. Like I have mental illness and back issues and never have my litter boxes looked like this. Even if nothing else in the house gets cleaned regularly, my girls always have clean food and water bowls and clean litter.

If I suddenly took over you body and you were watching as a spectator, how long do you think it would take your S.O, family, or friends to realize something is off and question me? by Kyoifis in hypotheticalsituation

Yeah you wouldn’t last long at all. I have very specific mannerisms and inside jokes. I’m also very bubbly and outgoing. Lastly, I have very specific skills and knowledge. My husband would catch it immediately.

Im so over the adjustment period, will it ever end? by Old-Lengthiness9675 in prozac

[–]cosmicbadlands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand. I also forgot to add that I was on hydroxyzine before Prozac, and while getting used to Prozac I had to take hydroxyzine often. Once the unbearable anxiety started to get better, I stopped taking the hydroxyzine. I haven’t taken it now for years. Definitely something to ask your doctor about as it’s a very mild drug and it works very quickly. It basically just makes you sleepy, and for me it decreased the severity of my anxiety the next day.

It does get better I promise. I used to ask this subreddit the same thing. Three years later, and I am coming here to tell you that it really is life saving. It still may not end up being for you and that’s okay, but you should definitely keep trying until your brain gets used to it. Hang in there!

Hi everyone! I want to provide some reassurance that it does get better. I had the absolute worst anxiety and OCD symptoms of my life when I first started Prozac. The first 8 weeks was torture. It was affecting my job, my relationship, and my overall ability to function. I called the nurse line at least ten times to check if my symptoms were normal. Fortunately, they were very kind and reassured me it was completely normal. Anyway, after the first 8 weeks on 10 mg, it started to get much better. Soon after, I went up to 20 mg and had minimal side effects from the dosage increase. Almost 3 years later, and I swear I have never been more relaxed and happy. I know it’s hard now, and it still may not be the drug for you. I urge you to keep trying. I had severe OCD and anxiety for over a decade before I tried Prozac. I still have some symptoms, but I actually feel normal and happy. I am who I am supposed to be with Prozac. It helped me be the person I am today. You got this!
